First of All, Pakistan never claims to be neutral. Pakistan has a very clear stance that Isreal is an illegal state; Pakistan stands with the people and government of Iran, Lebanon, and Yemen.

Pakistan is employing a classic "good-cop–bad-cop" strategy. If you think Khawaja Asif can tweet in such a flared-up manner on such a sensitive issue without dictation and approval, I have a bridge to sell you.
Khawaja's tweet is payback to Israel for sabotaging the Pakistan-brokered Lebanon ceasefire and leaving even the Iranian ceasefire fragile. Meanwhile, the real stakeholders (like Vance and CENTCOM Chief) will simply be told: "The Defence Minister is a political figurehead with no tangible power. Ignore his indulgence in rhetoric. Let us adults talk serious ceasefire business."
Simple. Effective. Deft. Statecraft.

While Pakistan is leading ceasefire talks, their defense minister is spewing vile rhetoric targeting Jews and Israel.
Hateful rhetoric like this is beyond unacceptable and unproductive at this fragile moment. This is not diplomacy and must be condemned.

Diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in near future. To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks. Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open Strait of Hormuz for a corresponding period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture.
