It was also what @SteveCameronPr1 shared from the public records request hearing. Again, a THIRD set of lawyers make a statement to a tribunal that suggests/implies/reveals that Robinson turned himself in BEFORE the Discord messages, and no one corrects it.
We are twisting ourselves into a pretzel to make it seem like Kash Patel and a now-disgraced local sheriff would not lie.

Your humble host @baroncoleman has shown, through court filings, that BOTH the prosecution and the defense have discussed evidence that corroborates the booking sheet, which shows that Tyler Robinson turned himself in and was taken into police custody BEFORE the Discord messages. Attorneys have an ethical obligation to show candor to the tribunal. We understand that to mean that we cannot make false statements to the court. And if we discover we made a mistake and misstated something, we have an obligation to fix it. And yet, neither the prosecution nor the defense has corrected these filings. Here's what I don't understand. Kyle Rittenhouse. Karen Read. Richard Allen. These are cases that were followed extensively by the Lawtube community. We watched in those cases how what we were fed (slop) turned out to be a false narrative. And yet, many seem to have forgotten this and are devouring the slop they are being fed now. I can maybe understand initially giving the government the benefit of the doubt. But now so much of the narrative has been called into serious question. Rather than be intellectually honest and question whether the government is (once again) lying to us, folks instead pivot to doing mental gymnastics, such as claiming that portions of a piece of evidence with the same bates number isn't from the same piece of evidence. Why? Why do people continue to assume the government is always telling the truth?

I kind of felt bad the way he came after you on his podcast tonight. But then I found this post and realize you fired first in a very condescending way and even assigning some motive that he’s just sowing chaos. I still love you both though! Are you convinced with the Bates numbering and it being clear that the video and mirandizing occurred from Washington County on 9/11?

His entire argument hinges on "the night of arrest" language the defense used in a motion. He insists that this means the 11th. The filings are at best ambiguous on the timing of the formal arrest because the booking sheet says one thing and the PC affidavit another. The 12th reconciles with all the public information about the surrender and the timing of the Discord confession; the 11th contradicts it all.
He continues to insist it's the 11th despite being corrected by a Washington County Prosecutor that it was the 12th, now apparently relying on unfounded community gossip to support his position. Why cling to it? Because they *need* chaos in this case to get people worked up and if Tyler sat in WA County until Utah County showed up, was transported to Utah County and booked in, taken to court, and Mirandized when he was sat down for an interview that evening, then the timeline fits perfectly with Sheriff Brooksby's account and Tyler sending the Discord confession message right before he turned himself in on the 11th, exactly as the message says.
Also worth observing is the stratospheric arrogance you have to have to think you've figured out a case-breaking fact from something the defense said that the defense didn't know about despite the defense having massive informational asymmetry about the case and 2 of the best capital defense lawyers in the country on the team (Kathy doesn't make this list).
The exact timeline of Tyler's surrender, arrest, and attempted interrogation will absolutely be covered in the preliminary hearing and will show everyone who is good at calling the shots in criminal cases and who isn't.

I'm interested to see how @baroncoleman confirmed this, as I doubt he would simply say something that wasn't true.
But wouldn't that mean that the narrative we have been told by the feds is indeed slop? Wouldn't that also mean that there is no way Tyler sent confession messages to AFTER that time?

As some might remember, I worked as an investigative reporter on the "sex and gender beat" at @realDailyWire for about 6 months and publicly quit in early 2023. I regret leaving the way I did.
Writing and communicating about pediatric gender medicine, especially prior to the release of the Cass Review, often required a gentler approach when trying to persuade moderates and people left of center. Because I was focused so narrowly on that issue, I developed a blind spot when it came to other trans-related issues concerning women’s safety and fairness, which often require a firmer approach.
I have since come to appreciate the different factions in the coalition working to make progress on these issues, and the different approaches they bring to that work. It was wrong for me to tell others how to talk about these issues, and I have not done so for a long time.
I stayed in touch with people from The Daily Wire and continued to support their work. I’ve always respected @JeremyDBoreing's vision for creating cultural alternatives for conservatives. I want to see conservatives make cultural and policy wins, and I want to help where I can.
Colin and I watch @benshapiro's show regularly, and now Jeremy’s. At some point, I refollowed @MattWalshBlog and @michaeljknowles, and I think their work is valuable. I didn’t understand Matt Walsh’s humor at first, but now I think he might be the funniest person on this website.
I am very grateful to Jeremy for giving me the opportunity to discuss my recent articles with him, both my cultural piece in @TheFP about my desistance from an autism diagnosis and my investigation into California’s youth mental health policies for @CityJournal.
