MLB ⚾️ Lock #1 (June 20th)
Cade Cavalli o 4.5 Strikeouts
(+102 FD)
70 PERCENT HIT RATE 💎‼️
❤️ IF YOU’RE TAILING
Cade Cavalli gets a solid matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. While Tampa Bay hasn't been one of the highest-strikeout teams in baseball overall, their individual hitter profiles show they can still be vulnerable against pitchers with good swing-and-miss stuff.
Cavalli has shown the ability to generate strikeouts this season with a 24.3% strikeout rate, which ranks in the 64th percentile. That gives him plenty of upside in a matchup where he should have multiple opportunities to attack hitters throughout the lineup.
The Rays lineup also gives him some targets to work with. Seven projected Tampa Bay hitters have strikeout rates of 19% or higher against right-handed pitching, which gives Cavalli several spots where he can take advantage, especially if he is getting ahead in counts early.
Cavalli also has a favorable path to the over because this line is set at just 4.5 strikeouts. If he is able to work around five to six innings like he has been capable of doing, he should see most of this lineup multiple times. With his strikeout ability and the amount of hitters in this lineup capable of going down, five punchouts is very attainable.
