@RebeccaCNReid Brilliantly and eloquently put Rebecca. I also planned to breastfeed but as it goes, best laid plans…I spent money on experts and the paraphernalia. In the end, I made the decision to use formula & not struggle on with breast for the health of my baby and my own mental health.

As I’ve said many times: I wanted to breastfeed past six weeks. I spent more money than I want to admit on lactation consultancy, pumps, supplements. Formula was our best and at times only option. Without it she would have starved. It’s life saving stuff. And yet.

Admittedly I’ve had a bit of a week, but I welled up reading this. As a formula parent it feels so good and so rare to feel like someone is actually on your side.

@icelandrichard @feedukorg @MetroUK Fund a breast feeding education campaign. Breast feeding is easy & free - once you get over the pain / discomfort at the beginning. Women must be determined & not put off & not thinking it’s not working. Women have to keep going with it. Get the right angle & proper attachment

The idea of having an AI regulation sandbox to test rules means the UK can have legal frameworks that allow for innovation and safeguards against potential dangers; the EU going early could smother innovation and see the trading block revisit the rules in a few years.
