a guy approached me at dolores park yesterday he was nice. respectful. sweet. i told him i had a bf. he said thank you and left but a few minutes later i couldn’t stop thinking about it how rare it is these days for a guy to have the courage to approach and risk rejection so i went back to find him i told him i really respected it, and encouraged him to keep trying he admitted that it's a bit nerve-wracking but he does it because he doesn’t believe in dating apps so i took his number and want to help him: he’s 24, tall, good looking, works in tech, very sociable, and is looking for a girlfriend dm me if you want to meet him or send this to someone who does :)

If Harvard admitted students strictly by SAT score, filling slots in descending order starting at 1600, what would be the lowest SAT score admitted to the school? And what would be the resulting demographics of the student body?

this is all spot on in the new meta guys wind up having to cold approach which *does work sometimes* ftr, even w varying degrees of obviousness, but seems to require much more finess and luck

🚨 Palantir CEO urges people to skip elite colleges, saying “unless you’re neurodivergent”, the only path left is skilled trades.

For every height, you’re going to have an ideal weight that looks best on you. For guys, this weight (pounds) should be maintained at 10% body fat or below, meaning you need solid muscle development: 5’6 = 170 5’8 = 185 5’10 = 200 6’0 = 215 6’2 = 230 6’4 = 245

Surely there is some medium in the current education discourse. A 1520 on the PSAT doesn’t mean you’re a 150IQ genius, but surely it’s the problem that making it as a 90th percentile white guy requires you to be 99th percentile. Access to prestige and real opportunities for growth instead of environments poisoned by DEI are something we should make possible regardless of race or class. This means not shunting white kids to a sub-campus of a state university instead of a main campus, or a crypto startup instead of a bank, or a wrapper startup instead of Big Tech, or Doctorates of Osteopathy instead of med school, or lesser law programs instead of the T14. There’s an incredible resentment that we have generated by constantly screwing over poorer smart (but not 140IQ+) white and Asian guys in favor of mediocre DEI-checking or richer, connected peers, and we need to recognize the pernicious effects it will have on American society. I don’t think you deserve the Ivy League for getting 1600 on your SAT, but maybe a shot at a full ride at a state school should be in the cards.

Having attended a place like Harvard, Yale, or Princeton carries a lot less prestige than it did even 20 years ago. They’re goofy places and there are an unprecedented number of people passing through who just aren’t that impressive. There are some brilliant people of course, but there’s so much filler and dead weight that you’re going to be less likely to make assumptions about someone’s ability based on that academic branding.

If you have 150 IQ, you are going to be a national merit scholar, which at a *minimum* leads to attending a state flagship research university for free, from there you would have scores to attend a good Law School, Med School, etc. But many of you wouldn't know this . . .
