@joshgans @ChadJonesEcon I would suggest not doing it, it disturbs the reading flow. A few things to consider if you go that way: 1) Don't overdo it. 2) You will probably have to fight page breaks a bit more. 3) Be careful with (vertical) spacing. It easily gets uneven.

It looks like @ChadJonesEcon is upping the game on paper formatting with propositions shaded. It is a good move. I think I'll copy it.

Knuth is a genius. He still got some things wrong. A reader of my Markov translation sent me a photo of a fraction on page 20: (a − α) / (a + b − α − β) "The 'a' and the 'α' look like different sizes. Feels off." He was right.

@SamuelGWalters If you change the font parameters you only need to do it once...

Sometimes subscripts in #LaTeX or #TeX aren't down enough, but when there's a superscript it pushes the subscript down more - such as in the two expressions on the left here. So, sometimes I would insert an empty superscript like this $ x_a^{} $ to push down a subscript. #math

@Simmy16242170 Well done! Spacing above and below the big equation looks uneven. Do you by chance have an empty line before the equation? Also, as someone pointed out, the equation is wider than the text.

it may be annoying to write this much latex for homework but the benefit is i can cum to how fucking pretty it looks look at this masterpiece
