Claim: OpenAI is leaving a lot of money on the table (and a lot of Codex users) for not having a plan between 20$ and 200$. @OpenAI

People of pi. OSS vacation is still in full swing. But I figured I do a quick patch release to give you MiniMax M2.5 via @MiniMax_AI endpoints, @openrouter, @vercel AI Gateway, and @opencode Zen. Enjoy.

If you haven't changed at least 50% of your direction/roadmap/plans in the last 4 weeks, you are making a very risky choice.

soon you will be able to have helpful assistants that talk to you, answer questions, and give advice. later you can have something that goes off and does tasks for you. eventually you can have something that goes off and discovers new knowledge for you.

Nearly every ambitious person I know who has dived into AI is working harder than ever, and longer hours than ever. Fascinating dynamic tbh. I have NEVER worked this hard, nor had this much fun with work.

Ben Horowitz explains why AI killed the 'Mythical Man Month': "For my whole life in technology, there was this thing called the Mythical Man Month: nine women cannot have a baby in a month." "If you're Google, you can't just put a thousand software engineers on a product and wipe out a startup because you can only... build that product with seven or eight people. Once they've figured it out, they've got that lead." "That's not true with AI. If you have data and you have enough GPUs, you can solve almost any problem. It is magic." "You can throw money at the problem. We've never had that in tech." @bhorowitz with @DavidSolomon and @dhaber

"Last year, the four largest companies contributed 1% to GDP growth with their $400 billion of spending." In this conversation with Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Ben Horowitz, and David Haber, they cover: - Why the best time to raise money is when no one has money - Why this could be the biggest M&A year in history - What makes the AI supercycle different -  Why some companies are growing at unprecedented rates - AI & crypto policy and more. 00:00 Introduction 02:09 Goldman's evolution from partnership to public company 15:33 "As sweet a spot" as Solomon has seen in 40 years 19:00 M&A outlook: "Whatever the question is, the answer is maybe" 21:33 Why leads aren't what they once were in AI 23:03 Crypto policy: The GENIUS and CLARITY Acts 25:24 AI policy: "Don't regulate math" 28:03 OneGS 3.0: reimagining processes with AI 32:54 Will AI agents change investing? 34:00 Favorite DJ @DavidSolomon @bhorowitz @dhaber

Clawdbot creator @steipete describes his mind-blown moment: it responded to a voice memo, even though he hadn't set it up for audio or voice. "I sent it a voice message. But there was no support for voice messages. After 10 seconds, [Moltbot] replied as if nothing happened." "I'm like 'How the F did you do that?'" "It replied, 'You sent me a message, but there was only a link to a file with no file ending. So I looked at the file header, I found out it was Opus, and I used FFmpeg on your Mac to convert it to a .wav. Then I wanted to use Whisper, but you didn't have it installed. I looked around and found the OpenAI key in your environment, so I sent it via curl to OpenAI, got the translation back, and then I responded.'"

Hugging Face Inference Endpoint now supports deploying GLM-4.7-Flash via llama.cpp, for as cheap as $0.8/hr Using Q4_K_M and 24k tokens context length - should be enough for most use case!

I've been ralphing on just-bash for about 36 hours now: - 3 work spaces - Each instructed to unskip spec tests sourced from the internet - 6ish concurrent agents each What I've found is that doing all actual work in sub-agents is best for stability and context management
