One thing Labor politicians learn, very quickly, is most of the people who interview them are paid a lot but believe their pay is actually not that high. I had one very senior journo once tell me $300k wasn’t that high, and he thought this was close to the average wage.

For Sunrise viewers who couldn’t hear Tanya Plibersek over Nat Barr & Barnaby Joyce’s constant interruptions, what she said was “Those who work for a living should not get taxed more on their wages than ppl who are living on their assets”✅ Hard to argue with that. #auspol

Migrants are younger, better educated and pay more tax than they receive in service BUT Angus Taylor says migrants are a ‘net drain’ on Australia. The numbers say the opposite is true theguardian.com/australia-news…

Kos Samaras nails it 👍 He (Angus Taylor) thinks he’s chasing Hanson voters in Farrer. He’s actually handing Labor a permanent structural lock on the seats that decide who governs. And he has possibly committed his party to losing opposition status at the next election #auspol

What I am finding quite amusing at the moment is watching the LNP throw themselves under the bus by trying to be more repulsive and stupid than Pauline Hanson. It's like watching the Benny Hill Show.

Strange that Liberal party concern for young people only activates when landlords lose a tax break.

@DaveSharma Would you mind pointing out to me David when you spoke up against Josh Frydenberg and Scott Morrison doubling the cost of many degrees, whacking another 25k+ in student debt on GenZ and beyond? Funny I don’t remember your concern for young people then.

@7NewsMelbourne @paul_dowsley Hey @paul_dowsley any chance of mentioning that under Morrison Vic got just 7% of the federal infrastructure pool and had to fund WGT and metro without any federal help? This is key to Vic debt position & would provide, you know, balance

On Planet Timmy people on $25,000 have enough spare cash to generate $10,000 in capital gains. The minimum full time wage in Australia is $50,000. The All Ords is up about 5% over the past year. To make $10,000 you had $200,000 in shares or cash.

Gen Z and Millennials can’t save for a house deposit, yet they’re raking it in on ETFs to the point where capital gains tax is a problem.* * according to Sky, Murdoch et al.
