Different cognitively but similar behaviorally. Since we cannot read minds, we aren't allowed to ask, and if we did ask the response could well be disingenuous, it seems reasonable and prudent to assume that a man who insists on accessing an exclusively female space is likely malevolent in intent.

Anna Cody is arguing that a man who claims he has the gender identity of woman could be denied employment because of the perception of a potential employer that he could become pregnant, and that would be discrimination under the Sex Discrimination Act. This is exactly what Australian TERFs have been saying the inclusion of 'Gender Identity' to the SDA is all about. Giving women's protections to men. And when men have women's protections, women have no protection. Take this further (and genderists always do). The pregnancy in consideration is that of a woman who is carrying the child of a man who claims he has the GI of woman. It's his pregnancy using the reasoning of genderists likes Cody. Who has the rights over how that pregnancy proceeds, or doesn't proceed? What if he doesn't want the pregnancy to proceed, but the pregnant woman does? Our bodily autonomy is threatened by the 2013 Amendments made by the Gillard Government. And before you accuse me of being alarmist, think of all the horrors we have witnessed so far in a very short space of time. Men in women's rape shelters. Women in men's mental health wards. Rapists in women's prisons. Men punching women to the head and body while people cheered them in at the Olympics. Women wrestling on the mat against men leading to claims of sexual assault. Ownership of and abuse of our female bodies is the end game.
Anthony Khallouf@ausvstheagenda

Dr. Anna Cody, Australia's Sex Discrimination Commissioner just said: If a transgender woman (man) is denied a job because they said they intend to have children, then this is discrimination “on the basis on POTENTIAL pregnancy.” Oh my god.

Canadian Women's Sex-Based Rights
We're moving the needle! Every single time you have a conversation about women's sex-based protections you're contributing to the effort. The govt may censor and condemn us but we can still speak in private and on this platform. Keep speaking! "The percentage of women who agreed that people should have this right decreased from 85 per cent to 77 per cent between 2018 and 2025, while support among men dropped from 78 per cent to 70 per cent. The StatCan survey doesn’t examine the potential causes behind the decline, but notes that the changes in attitude coincide with 'a period of animated public discourse' surrounding the rights of transgender and non-binary people."

There is also no direct evidence that allowing trans women to use women’s washrooms causes nontrans women to face and increased risk of assault either What we have in both cases is an imbalance between the fear of assault and the actual threat of assault It is understandable why women might feel vulnerable and fear the presence of trans women in the women’s washroom just as it is understandable why effeminate men, or feminized men would feel vulnerable and fear other men in the men’s washroom, even when the actual incidence of both is very very low
Akua Reindorf KC@akuareindorf

I've never seen any evidence that trans-identified men face an enhanced risk of assault in men's loos. But in case they do, the @EHRC Code says that, wherever practicable, additional mixed sex options should be made available. Another option is for men to stop hitting other men

A lot of people have struggled to believe me when I say that the Australian Human Rights Commission is giving pregnancy protections in law to men who claim to be woman, because it’s so stupid it’s hard to believe anyone would say it. Enjoy:

@AusHumanRights You were asked: “What is a woman?” Your answer: “An adult female human… and includes transgender women.” That “and” is the entire problem. It proves biological males are not women - you had to tack them on. To understand what this actually means for real women, put yourself in their place: Imagine you are a woman locked in a women’s prison. A biological male, who “identifies” as a woman, is housed in the same unit. He is physically stronger & is about to assault you. Would your “inclusive” definition protect you then? That is exactly the situation you are forcing on women & girls every time you refuse to define woman as adult human female - full stop. Women’s safety is not a feeling. It is a biological reality your Commission is erasing. Define the word properly. Stop endangering women.

If you have to add that the definition of “woman” includes men who claim to be women, it means they’re not included in the actual definition and therefore not women. Which is our entire point.

As a gay man who has been on the receiving end of homophobic violence, I would love to abolish male threats against gender non conforming presentation! Given it’s a byproduct of misogyny, you know that’s not going to happen any time soon - although all men need to fight it as hard as we can. As a gay man I clearly feel that acutely! There’s no evidence base about trans women using men’s toilets because it’s almost never happened. You know perfectly well what will happen if suddenly trans women start accessing men’s toilets. Putting people presenting as the opposite gender in that environment would result in abuse, humiliation and violence. Trans women know this and will simply stop using public toilets, which will mean withdrawing from society. The idea businesses, organisations and local authorities will invest in creating and maintaining third spaces is a fantasy - and you know it. I would respect you more if you simply said “yes life will be made significantly harder for trans women, trans men and butch lesbians, but that’s a price I’m willing to pay.” In practise you’ve helped create a law which combines being both unjust and impractical, and which makes us an outlier among Western nations. It will do nothing to reduce the rate of male violence against women, the principal causes of which have been ignored because of Britain’s anti-trans hysteria. As a result, this law will - in time - collapse, and history will make its judgements accordingly. Enjoy your victory while you last! And that’s the thing. None of you are behaving like you’ve won anything. Telling!

The risk of a trans woman being abused or assaulted in the men’s toilet per visit = extremely high. The risk of a woman being abused or assaulted in the women’s toilet per visit = extremely low.
