$SLV | swing Added heavy to my position on the first real change of character/tape flip on a parabolic daily extension and insane volume across all products. That being said, my average is dog shit even with those adds ($96). I had only held 40% of a full position coming into today and was still underwater in a major way. Whether this ends up being a big win or loss if it reclaimed, tons of mistakes made & lessons learned. Was definitely in over my head on this. Will recap everything in more detail over the weekend once things calm down.

Another banger interview by @nieto with @MaxGanik Insane what access we have today Nice to hear a trader who admits they aren’t a robot. So much more relatable to hear Max talk about using emotions as a signal rather than just pretending they don't exist. Also love the takeaway on the midday workouts. Kills the the "12-hour grind"-myth, which imo is usually just a fast track to burnout (albeit difficult to actually implement in a busy day-to-day). Great interview.

So funny how @MartinShkreli made both Shark from SMB (cc: @TheOneLanceB) and @Qullamaggie pay their market tuition when he was CEO of KBIO They both went on to become the most successful traders of our time and credits their losses on this trade for how they learned proper risk management

You're 100% right That said, 1 through 4 can be said for pretty much all discretionary retail trading, no? Atleast if you replace #1 with "strategy relies on market conditions being xyz" or some sort of "success is contingent on market conditions" Qullamaggie was successful way before he started streaming

Interesting how an entire industry of Qullamaggie-related content grew out of how well-documented his journey was. But you don’t see nearly as many repeatable success stories, most people who tried to copy it systematically failed for different reasons. Not here to hate Qullamaggie, I genuinely like him and I think the method can work. Just realize: 1) It needs a strong market regime 2) Drawdowns can be long and brutal 3) You need to size big for it to be financially meaningful 4) A lot of edge in execution + discretionary judgment built from 10000+ hours of studying history and actually trading I personally traded something very similar long before covid, and only started making money with it in the US equities after combining it with some other alphas.

@TheOneLanceB @MartinShkreli @Qullamaggie True. Only caveat being that you have to be the man in the arena. Cant borrow conviction or the pain of a loss. I know Ive spent my fair share watching others thinking I learned anything from their hard earned lessons

@TheOneLanceB That would be amazing! Its interesting how a more complicated strategy is inherently more newbie friendly than the simple strategy. Goes against conventional wisdom

Banger interview - highly recommended Does anyone know of a detailed write up on the synthetic put strategy he uses on parabolic shorts? Or a specific trade writeup?

The Lone wolf-trader is dead in 2026. Or atleast at a severe disadvantage imo @TedHZhang explains how trading without a team is like playing on hard mode "Even if you're an individual trader, find two, three, five, ten people who trade similarly to you, form a Discord chat... and just have that pod with you." 3 good reasons: 1. When 2 smart ppl who respect each other disagree - great learning opportunity 2. Emotional support during drawdowns (or the reality check you need) 3. Different styles can inform each other and give better structural understanding of the market
