I was 13 years old back in back in 1987 when that great Hawkeye hoops squad made the Elite 8. But THIS TEAM has me feeling like a kid all over again! 🖤💛🖤💛

There’s still mustard on my Iowa Caucuses jersey from last season. I promise to get more on it today @murphsound 🫡

@suchnerve have the $20.00 in your hand when you ask and it will happen.

@Notwokenow buy better construction. Insulation and better windows.

@DanMurphyESPN as long as the university is obligated to 4 years of education unlike the one year contract as it sits now. No more running off kids that are not starters.
English

@CoachForGov only if the universities agree to a four year education contract. NOT the one year deal that has allowed them to run off players

The transfer portal has screwed up college sports.
My bill is simple: you get 5 consecutive years to play 5 seasons and you get 1 transfer.
After that, if you transfer again, you sit out a year.
This will fix 80% of the issues in NIL today.

Exclusive: @CoachForGov introduces ‘Student Athlete Act Of 2026’ aimed at curtailing transfer portal chaos. It give athletes five years to play five seasons, while also penalizing a player 1 year for transferring a second time, he tells @OutKickHotMic outkick.com/sports/tommy-t…

Former #Hawkeyes Lucy Olsen and Kate Martin are back in Iowa City. The fan faves signed autographs and went to center court before Iowa-FDU. Carver-Hawkeye Arena is sold out again. FDU is giving them a game, trailing 26-21 in the 2nd in Round One. @LucyOlsenbball @kate_martin22

@RedditCFB Lute Olson wanted only basketball to be played in his arena. It's also why the building also had no 400 amp power to the arena floor for concerts and putting a portable hockey rink in at times. It was for basketball only. My father was part of the fund raising crew

What exactly is the point of the Big Ten and SEC destroying college sports for billions of dollars if they’re too broke to put basic HVAC in arenas? 🤔

Carver does not have A/C. It's supposed to be 86 degrees in Iowa City tomorrow, with a sellout crowd. For the 1st time ever, I asked a basketball coach, Jan Jensen, about how the temperature could impact the game. @KCRG_Sports

@Ck27126422 I've been in the auto industry for 35 years now and not once have I had to repair damage caused by running ethanol at the recommended amount. The negativity towards supporting something home grown is beyond me.

@GarrettfromIowa @stillnothawkize because they have to apply the sticker.

@stillnothawkize Courthouse, but you have to have the drugs with you.

@LevAkabas please post the men's budget for the same programs so we can compare. thanks

@TheAuthorGuy I'm willing to bet that there are 10 producers all giving different directions to the person with hands on the console leading to the problems.

@DrAlmarielao I'm more offended with a straw/stick being laid on the overflow area and then used on a head that should be left to settle.

It was a packed Saturday night when she finally noticed it. The bartender poured the beer, wiped the foam down with her bare fingers, adjusted the garnish with those long acrylic nails, and slid the glass across the bar like nothing happened. A few customers exchanged looks. One guy quietly pushed his drink away. Within minutes, someone complained to management. The vibe shifted fast. What was supposed to be a fun night turned into a debate about hygiene, professionalism, and standards. By the end of it, the manager decided to shut the bar down early to address the issue. Bartenders shouldn’t be touching the foam or rim of a served drink with bare hands. That’s a hygiene violation. Health inspectors would absolutely flag that. Proper pour technique keeps hands off the glass once it’s ready, period. It only takes one moment like that to lose customer trust. Clean habits behind the bar aren’t optional, they’re part of the job.
Would you say something if you saw that happen, or just leave and never come back?
