History would neither forgive nor forget the parties which stalled the Women’s Reservation Bill.

With the electoral ground not looking good, time to refocus on making Delhi the villain.

The suggested increase in #Loksabha seats (#Delimitation) and #WomensReservation is being misinterpreted. The #DMK is using this issue to promote their political agenda, aiming to deceive the public and regain power at any price. First, the total number of seats is increasing significantly, from 543 to around 850. This means Tamilnadu will also see an increase in its number of MPs. There is no chance of losing representation, in fact, we gain in absolute terms. Second, concerns about delimitation are being exaggerated. Even if population is a factor, the Union Government has repeatedly assured that southern states will not be put at a disadvantage. A balanced approach will be taken, not a pure population based division. Third, Tamilnadu's strength has never been just in numbers, it comes from political awareness, its governance model, and strong leadership. Even today, with 39 MPs, we play a key role in national politics. That influence will not fade away with a larger Parliament. Fourth, the Women's Reservation Bill is a major reform. It ensures 33% representation for women in Parliament, this benefits every state, including Tamilnadu, which has always pushed for social justice. Finally, increasing seats is essential. India's population has grown enormously, but the size of Parliament has stayed the same for decades. More MPs mean better representation for people in all states. This reform is about strengthening democracy, not weakening any state. Tamilnadu will not lose, it will continue to lead.
