If true would love to see the visuals/products/output... i have yet to see design + ai in the hands of a non-designer produce good design. Reminds me of the time a doctor founder told me “you wouldn't believe it but my 13-year-old nephew designed this app”. My response: “I 100% believe a 13-year-old designed this”

field notes / insider info from this week's design parties, preparties, afterparties, and post-afterparties in sf: 1. secret societies are real and they all use @LumaHQ 2. many smaller startups building design tools with cool ideas – keep an eye on @Dessn_ai, @paper, @onlookdev, etc. – and say hello in replies if you're building one 3. @paper executes growth tactics like nothing I've seen. @_domgordon is a true pirate. S-tier taste in swag + guerrilla warfare = winning combo. 4. the aura of @D_R_Farrell's @onlookdev is unmatched – I'm impressed in so many ways I can't even explain now, I'll break it down later on @designdisciplin 5. @Lovable continues to deliver banger slogan hats (see pic) [ very special thanks to @figma for inviting me to Config so I could experience all of this — I've been to like 50 confs and Config was by far the best experience ]

Usually we tell companies to make time/space to work with great freelancers / agencies on branding. But every so often someone needs good brand work that's fast. Anyone doing 2-3 week brand sprints these days that produce quality outcomes that folks would recommend?

Last week was my final week at Perplexity. After nearly four years of full‑speed, labor‑of‑love work, I felt ready to pass the baton. I’m excited to share that @scspeier will lead the design team going forward. There are many things I’m proud of, but most of all I’m proud of the design culture at Perplexity. It fosters boldness, creativity, trust, and, most importantly, real impact. Everyone on the team lives our brand’s values, embodying curiosity and a love of learning.
