I felt honored to speak with Patrick on @InvestLikeBest, following giants in the investing world to talk about the @adjacent, consumer subs and early-stage VC!
Patrick OShaughnessy@patrick_oshag

Today’s conversation is with @ncsh While consumer investing has been less popular in the last few years, Nico has found a way to do it with great success His method is to explore “the adjacent possible” and he’s become a deep expert on consumer subscriptions I learned a ton

I just told a founder that i wont joined his 3-digit-million valuation pre-seed but i am super happy for him and got a reply from his bot thanking me for the specific work i did for him. I think this summarizes perfectly the wtf that my job is right now.

Dear future teammate, I'm not a designer, yet I love design. Since we will build together, I'd like you to know what I believe. I believe design is part art, architecture, and mechanism. Art, because it must be beautiful. Architecture, because it requires a birds eye view. Mechanism, because it must be useful. You'll be responsible for a new interface: a conversational interface that feels like talking to yourself. It should be beautiful & useful, like thought. It should be made with a birds eye view, to span wherever you want to think. Our first product helps people capture thoughts & talk through ideas wherever they are. We have a lot more in store. The potential is sometimes dizzying, and always motivating. I feel the window of time we exist within. We have an opportunity to introduce a new relationship with technology—founded on extension over replacement. I'm thankful to have this opportunity, and to pursue it with many talented and caring people. I'm very excited to build towards it with you.

*NYC Product Designers* @sandbar is hiring a Lead Product Designer for Stream. IMO this is one of the most unique/interesting roles out there: own the full-stack design for a novel hardware interaction model and the rich software experience to power it.

Six weeks ago, I fell down the OpenClaw rabbit hole. One of my experiments was to give it an API key for one of my RevenueCat apps, and I was blown away. It made things that would take minutes in the dashboard take seconds. With no handholding. Immediately I started productionizing it, building my first production feature for RevenueCat in 5 years (with some help from some friends). Using codex + claude code, we quickly built up a prototype which is in private beta right now: Rico, our first in-house agent. revenuecat.com/feature/ai-age… It's clear to me now that CRUD software won't be enough anymore. Many interactions with software that were once tedious become magical if you just pour some tokens on it. We will need to reinvent much of what it means to be a SaaS. It will require new thinking, and RevenueCat needs to get there fast. We now have several agentic features in the works, and I think it's just the beginning. RevenueCat of today is the brain stem, AI and agents are the neocortex we will layer on top to create a truly powerful, thinking machine that will help any developer make more money, autonomously. As part of that we need help. We're catching up quickly here, learning how to build and deploy agentic systems. But we need to build a team, and I'm looking for the first product engineer to own how intelligence is built into RevenueCat. You'll work directly with me, @elwatto and others to bring the vision to life. Apply, or send me a DM with the craziest AI system you've built jobs.ashbyhq.com/revenuecat/ec6…

"I was invited to go to Apple..I was inside of a screen and I just wanted to get out. And I was just thinking back to my experience..on P1 flying through the world..And the idea of strapping a screen to my face is not the future I want to live in..Technology can actually enable us to go out into the world and live bigger lives, not smaller lives." @josephcohen @infinitemachine @firstofkind youtube.com/watch?v=vW7VfY…

exctited for @adjacent to co-lead the Series A for @sandbar with our friends @KindredVentures @minafahmi, Kirak and team are building the most thoughtful voice AI hardware/interface out there thanks @alexrkonrad for covering:
Alex Konrad@alexrkonrad

EXCLUSIVE: AI startup Sandbar has raised $23M in Series A funding for its note-taking smart ring, Stream, launching widely this summer. I spoke to CEO Mina Fahmi (@minafahmi) about his vision for a voice interface for your thoughts -- and for working with AI agents. "The thing that gets me excited is the promise of technology as an augmentation of the individual, that places the human in control,” he tells @UpstartsMediaCo.

We waste too much time worrying about short term hype. Hyper-fixating on the news cycle isn’t going to fix the biggest problems facing society in the coming decades. The world needs more long term thinking. So we are launching Forecast 2050: a series of conversations with the thinkers, founders, and investors shaping the next 25 years. Thank you to @tylercowen, Scott Aaronson, @noor_siddiqui_, @soundboy, @matthewclifford, @devonzuegel, @CJHandmer, @MalcolmRifkind, Yanai Yedvab, @viswacolluru, @pablolubroth, and @PhilipJohnston for joining us. First episode with Tyler drops tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Having an AI that schedules meetings and coordinates my calendar has been a massive unlock for me. Currently using and paying for @blockitAI I've had lovely human EAs in the past and I have to say that an AI just works better. Instant replies. Never forgets. Always working. Hard to compete. This makes me both happy and sad.

Our firm @Interface ranked #6 on the Top European Micro-Funds list by @20vcFund. We're proud to build in Europe and back founders at day zero. Being on this list among entrepreneurs and investors I truly admire and respect is a great honor. Micro fund does not mean small ambition. Let's go @christianreber.

Thank you to all the founders who let us come along on the journey - the only reason we get to rank high on any list. Proud of this one in particular because it's full of amazing people shaping the European scene for the next decades.

We work with @weaverobotics to apply our model for laundry folding at Sea Breeze Cleaners here in SF. The model ran continuously on a full day’s worth of laundry and required minimal interventions.
