My prayers and thoughts are with the families and friends of Amb. Bashua and Prof. Adesanmi, and of all the other passengers and crew who lost their lives in the crash. May the Almighty God give them the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.

I mourn the passing of Ambassador Abiodun Bashua and Professor Pius Adesanmi in the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash which occurred yesterday. Distinguished Nigerians who did the nation proud in their professional endeavors.
