One of my most favourite Vada Pavs in Mumbai is the one at Shree Datta Snacks in Panvel. So I decided to go there today and while doing that, check out the Trans Harbour link too. First things first, it is an amazing piece of engineering. A 20 km bridge over the sea, with panoramic views of the Nhava Sheva port is a sight to behold. And unlike other Indian bridges this is one ultra smooth bridge. There are absolutely no bumps and rattles. This is one amazing bridge to ride on. Second, from my place in central Mumbai, It takes an average of 1.5 hours to reach Panvel. With this new bridge, I reached in 35 minutes. That is lesser time than what I used to spend in Vashi toll. This bridge is amazing and will revolutinize travel between Mumbai and Pune, Goa etc. Govt of Maharashtra has done a fantabulous job. Hats off to everyone involved, starting from Devendra Fadnavis. Though I still have reservations over the toll, that should take nothing away from the excellence of the Bridge itself.
