#Brexit still isn’t done. Brexit still has lots of new shocks up its sleeve waiting to cause more pain for Britain 🇬🇧 It’s easier and kinder to decide to leave Brexit and work hard to become members of the EU again. inews.co.uk/news/politics/…

@ejwwest @BenGoldsmith @ret_ward So why cancel the Physics Nobel Laureate's address? Why won't Mann publish, as he's been ordered to? Why did Grantham etc lie and traduce? Reflect on TfL's £800K award to study air quality, then wanting the result changed, because it didn't fit the gospel?

@BenGoldsmith @ret_ward We eagerly await their reappraisal of 200 years of climate science in a paper published in a peer reviewed journal. When do they expect to publish? But they’ll need to explain what they think they know that every climate scientists & every national science academy have missed.

@chrislittlewoo8 @MayorofLondon @TfL @ICOnews Read from end to end. Seems like the usual cockup. Specify one thing, contract for the nearest option covering minimum requirements and avoid engineering input. I do hope this gets more coverage.

A 🧵 It’s time to put an immediate end to ULEZ because TFL can’t protect your Personal Data. Hey @MayorofLondon @TFL @ICOnews I have questions. Over recent months TFL have had multiple ULEZ cameras removed from live traffic monitoring sites.

@aDissentient I've asked why, when writing the contracts, the wind and solar providers are contracted to supply a metered amount of energy on a fixed timescale, with the onus on them to provide it, whatever the weather. Happened with gas, nominated amounts fail to meet, buy and supply.

Jordan, you are brilliant on many things. But you seem to lack any understanding of risk. There is a not insubstantial risk that the climate scientists (and pretty much the entire scientific community) are right, and we are now facing a civilisation-ending threat. Any reasonable risk management strategy would be to do whatever it takes to mitigate that risk. Ask yourself this, if there were a 10% probability that a particular plane was going to crash, would you board it? I doubt you would even if the risk was 1%. And how about if all the engineers responsible for that aircraft said it *was* going to crash? The stupidest thing about your position, is that so many of the solutions to the climate problem are entirely desirable. Find anyone who doesn’t want an end to the destruction of the world’s remaining rainforests; restoration of coastal mangroves or a transition to a healthier way of farming. And so often these are the free market alternatives to a centralised, heavily subsidised incumbency. In any free-market situation, wind and solar win every time. That’s why world governments feel the need to hand out trillions in subsidies to the highly centralised fossil fuel industry. You’ve got this one badly wrong I’m afraid.

Former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the assassination of Wagner boss Prigozhin: “It can’t have been more than a few seconds between the explosion aboard the otherwise reliable Embraer Legacy 600 executive jet, and the moment the Russian thug blacked out in his vertiginous acceleration to earth; and yet in that instant I am certain that he knew with perfect clarity what had happened,” Johnson wrote. “He knew whose hidden hand was sending him 28,000 ft down, to be immolated with the rest of his Wagner group companions in a fireball in the countryside of the Tver region north of Moscow – and then on downwards, of course, for the shade of Prigozhin: down, down to Hades and the Tartarean pit below.” “As the detonation sucked the air out of the aircraft’s cabin, I would wager that the last thought in the doomed dome of Prigozhin’s skull was ‘Putin!’, preceded by one of the many profanities in which the former jailbird and hotdog salesman was so fluent,” Johnson wrote. “As we watch the chilling footage of that plane spiraling to earth, we are witnessing something historic. This is the violent liquidation – on TV – of his enemies by an existing head of state. I cannot think of another example of such ostentatious and uninhibited savagery by a world leader – not in our lifetimes,” Johnson wrote. “The mask is now fully off. Putin stands exposed as a gangster, and his absurd televised ‘tribute’ to the dead Wagnerites is straight from the pages of ‘The Godfather,’” Johnson concluded.

@Idontmind64 @GBNEWS It's the duty of the CS to carry out the policy on which the elected government stands, unless it's illegal. They can object, publicly or privately, but if they can't find it in their hearts to do the job, there's the door. Work for someone you agree with

Why is @MrNishKumar dismissing the concerns of women? Why is he disparaging these legitimate issues? That seems rather misogynistic to me. It doesn’t affect him, it appears he doesn’t care if a man in a frock is fiddling with himself in front of women, in our spaces. Why?
Binky@TheOnlyGuru

Dear @MrNishKumar Why is it that you think females aren’t entitled to voice genuine concerns about men whom ‘identify’ as ‘trans women’ (males) using our single sex spaces? Is it perhaps, because as a man, you have no concept of how frightening it is?
