I was glad to be in the chamber to cheer on @darrenpjones as he took on the opposition parties with skill, passion, and integrity.

The appointment of Peter Mandelson was wholly and utterly unsuitable.
Nonetheless, the PM has set out a detailed chronology, and made it clear he has not misled this House.

Badenoch was economical with the truth earlier in her chaotic ‘can I make any mud stick’ speech in the House. She seemed to forget that she abstained not on the motion to refer Johnson to the privileges committee (when there was no vote as the case was obvious)

Tory vote on referring Keir Starmer to the Privilege’s Committee is a political stunt but to blow it out of the water Keir Starmer should show confidence & refer himself, demonstrating there is nothing to hide. Whipping a vote against will produce smears we’re backing a cover up.

Nonsense. Governments of all persuasions have often whipped business like this. It’s entirely up to the government to decide. And as a point of fact, there was no vote on referring Boris Johnson as it was decided without division and Johnson didn’t even turn up to defend himself.

.@BorisJohnson has little or no regard for the rule of law. Lawyers are instructed to represent their client without fear or favour. That is a very important principle which we should hold dear. Whether it is pro bono or otherwise lawyers fight the corner of those they represent.
