How Does mump2p Work for Validators? Making blockchains faster isn’t just about new chains. Sometimes, it’s about upgrading how validators communicate. mump2p is designed to run directly alongside a validator’s Ethereum client as a lightweight sidecar meaning validators can opt in permissionlessly with minimal overhead. Here’s the simple version of how it works: 1. A validator receives a block 2. mump2p picks up the block data 3. RLNC breaks the data into smaller coded shards 4. Shards are propagated across the network 5. Other nodes reconstruct the full block faster What makes this interesting? Nodes don’t need to wait for the entire block before helping propagate it. As soon as enough coded fragments arrive, they can already start forwarding data to the next nodes. This means: • Faster block propagation • Lower latency between validators • Better network efficiency • More scalable communication Even better: Validators can still use traditional GossipSub alongside mump2p, meaning adoption can happen without replacing existing infrastructure overnight. You can slowly see it growing through small things: people testing on testnet every day, early dapps starting to appear, builders experimenting, communities discussing ideas, and users spending real time trying to understand what the ecosystem could become. What makes it interesting is that Ritual doesn’t feel like a project asking people to simply watch from the outside. It feels more like an environment where the community grows alongside the technology itself. The @ritualnet - Exploring more of the Ritual Network testnet lately and one thing that caught my attention was the Ritual Identity mint... This is not designed like a typical collectible NFT. The identity is soulbound to your wallet and meaning it stays permanently tied to the original holder and acts more like an onchain proof of participation than a tradable asset. A few things that make it interesting ➔ ➔ Limited mint supply. ➔ One identity per wallet. ➔ Non transferable structure. ➔ Built around long term ecosystem participation. What I like most is the direction behind it. Instead of focusing purely on speculation. Ritual seems to be experimenting with persistent onchain identity systems that could eventually connect users and agents and staking and ecosystem activity together. Feels less like just another mint and more like early infrastructure for a much bigger network vision. Still exploring the testnet and community built dapps. Today I tried Ritual On-chain ID on the Testnet and was really surprised by how smooth the UI is, fast, and easy to use. 👉 ritual-onchain-id.vercel.app Minting is also very simple: • Connect wallet • Enter username X • Mint to NFT ID I also want to try it but realized I don't have a Ritual testnet. gRitual, So many dApps are being built on Ritual, and I'm gradually trying them out one by one. This time it's a super addictive retro pixel survival game called Ritualist Never Sleeps. What I like most is the incredibly addictive gameplay. Initially, I only intended to play for a few minutes, but the more I played, the harder it was to quit 😭 The pixel art is beautiful, the sound design is good, and the experience is much smoother than I expected for a community dApp on the testnet. After each game, you can even get a mint card.
