The numbers clearly show the reality: 2018 Scenario: MS Margin: 4.31% on ₹76.56 HSD Margin: 3.28% on ₹70.00 2026 Scenario: MS Margin: 3.94% on ₹98.96 HSD Margin: 2.56% on ₹92.09 Despite fuel prices continuously rising, dealer margins in % terms are continuously shrinking. What Dealers have actually suffered: • Capital erosion • Margin erosion • Huge increase in manpower cost • Higher electricity & operational expenses • Increased compliance burden • Bank interest & finance cost escalation • Rising competition due to excessive RO saturation Today, Retail Outlets are surviving on volume, not profitability. Fixed per-litre margins are no longer sustainable in the present economic environment. If fuel prices continue to rise further while dealer commissions remain stagnant, the day is not far when Dealers will have to fund operations from their personal savings merely to keep outlets functional. Therefore, there is an urgent need to shift Dealer Commission from “per litre basis” to a “percentage linked model” so that dealer sustainability moves proportionately with inflation and fuel pricing dynamics. If legitimate concerns of Dealers continue to remain unheard, then Petroleum Dealers across India must collectively consider: • Smart operational restructuring • Curtailment of operational hours • Weekly offs for Retail Outlets • Cost optimisation measures No business can survive indefinitely with rising liabilities and declining real margins. The PESO Circular dated 26.12.2023 mandates cancellation of license if complaint is filed by landlord but the office of JTCCE Agra is sitting tight on the matter for the reasons best known to him. @BPCLimited is directly involved in land grabbing tactics of an ex-army officer and all the authorities are sitting tight on the matter raises a serious concern regarding the morality of our society. Why is @pesoagra office illegally facilitating operations of the retail outlet? Why is no show cause notice issued in the matter till date when the complaint was filed on 19.01.2026? Despite being aware that a false affidavit has been submitted by @BPCLimited for renewal of said license why the license is not suo-motu suspended for providing false information? These questions remain unanswered till date and the land of an Ex- Army officer of @adgpi continues to be illegally occupied by @BPCLimited which is shameful for the nation as a whole.

Yes. The Bharatiya Janata Party has won in West Bengal. In my recent article, I wrote, 'In many ways, the victory of Modi’s BJP in West Bengal felt as if it were equally formed by a Gen-Z wave, this time a type of cosplay Hindutva, Hindu power masked in casual anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim rhetoric and in the vagueness of anti-politics. Social media platforms ran narratives that focused on young people, with themes such as anti-corruption and transparency sounding like anti-older people. It helped that the BJP’s leader Suvendu Adhikari (born 1970) was younger than Banerjee (born 1955) and so positioned himself as the coming of a new generation. Beneath the smiles of the younger candidate and the social media glitz of the West Bengal BJP lies the disenfranchisement of voters, the religious bigotry of the campaigning, and the hoary nature of the BJP’s Hindutva ideology – rooted as it is in an ancient fantasy created only a hundred years ago. Media-savvy personalities felled the need for real ideas to solve real problems'. (peoplesdispatch.org/2026/05/06/reg…). Yes, the BJP used the state apparatus, including the SIR programme, to disenfranchise voters, and now they are using vandalism across West Bengal to eliminate their political opponents. This includes breaking statues of Lenin. But as they break the statue, the people take to the streets. West Bengal is not going to settle easily into the rhythms of the cosplay Hindutva. Over three million people voted for the Left Front alliance, about 5% of the vote. That is not an insignificant number of people. As the class struggle intensifies in the state, it will face frontally the failures of the cosplay Hindutva Chief Minister Adhikari, who said, indecorously that he is after all the CM of the Hindus of Bengal ('I will work for the Hindus of Nandigram', he said of his constituency, alleging that Muslims voted for the opposition and should therefore be disenfranchised). I think it is important for us to do the following: 1. Form a Observatory to track the vandalism and the cosplay Hindutva praxis of the government and its Sangh Parivar. 2. Highlight the class struggle as it intensifies, giving it publicity and encouragement. 3. Highlight the work of the class parties as their cadre develop into leaders and as they work to build the complex and necessary vanguard within the class struggle. We cannot retreat.
