A stable system is not a healthy one. @nntaleb tells a full house @MSFEA_AUB that antifragility stems from changing with one’s environment and befriending disorder and uncertainty. Let’s go!

This is the effect of an airstrike in Tyre. A bunker buster bomb according to neighbors. The water is seawater, that's how deep it went.

In the final 48hrs before ceasefire in 2006 war #Israel dropped internationally-banned cluster munitions across south #Lebanon that still kill children who unwittingly stumble across them to this day. We’ve seen this scramble for last-minute destruction on a ticking clock before.
Leila Molana-Allen@Leila_MA

IDF issues air strike notices for central #Beirut neighbourhoods inc Hamra for 1st time; well away from suburbs & rarely hit. Ironically the fact #Israel is devastating #Lebanon’s capital today means a ceasefire is likely imminent; heavy bombardment in final hours is a common tactic. Roads jammed w/ civilians fleeing.

Lebanon has zero air defences. There is no operational need for Israel to bomb at 4am. The only reason they bomb in the middle of the night is to maximise civilian casualties and especially to kill as many children as possible, who would mostly be outside in waking hours.
Craig Murray@CraigMurrayOrg

I was awoken by the most incredible explosion, I think around 4am. Our entire apartment shook Nobody yet knows how many are killed, first estimate I am hearing is about 90 dead and hundreds injured. Desperate rescue attempts ongoing. No warning. An entirely civilian block.

Oh my God. Hossam is one of the few journalists who has been able to get us any information from North Gaza. Israel has been targeting and killing Palestinian (and Lebanese) journalists with impunity - they want to silence whatever information is able to get out. This is horrific & our media here is complicit in this genocide and in the targeting of these heroic journalists.

There’s a photo circulating of the Zionist army rounding up doctors, nurses, and patients from a hospital in northern Gaza. The detainees are blindfolded, stripped of their clothes, their hands zip-tied. One of them leans on crutches. Western media and Israel's allies want you to believe these soldiers are both victims and heroes, while the Palestinian doctors and nurses—who remained in their hospitals for over a year, healing the wounded, treating the sick, and saving lives—are cast as villains. For many in the West, the lives of these Palestinians are neither celebrated in life nor mourned in death. Their deaths are not condemned, their suffering barely deemed newsworthy. These are people who were born as refugees, lived under curfews, endured entire lifetimes under blockade, moving from one war to another, cut off from the outside world. They have lived without rights, without privileges, and without access to even the most basic freedoms. Yet, despite this crushing reality, they pursued education, built families and careers, and dedicated their lives to helping others. And yet, we are conditioned to disregard their deaths, their torture, their humiliation—to overlook their suffering and ignore their plight. This is the brutal dynamic that has been normalized for more than a century: that one people’s lives, narratives, and aspirations are deemed inherently more valuable than another’s. There will be no peace, no quiet, no justice in our region until that dynamic is dismantled. Period.

We can now confirm that this missile strike was on rooms of the local district council where aid packages were prepared for and collected by refugee families. The local mayor and his two sons were killed and 19 people seriously injured. Another attack on civilian infrastructure.

An airstrike hit central Beirut a short while ago, near the UN headquarters and next to a Lebanese Civil Defence station, the strick came without prior warning. I went there to report

#Beirut now- Israel is inflicting gratuitous violence on an unarmed population. This is what the EU and the US are supporting, funding, arming, and calling self defense. No words.
