Canada today is not the same Canada I grew up in. Crime is higher, drug abuse is higher, taxes are higher, government waste is higher, families need to work harder and longer just to put food on the table, and our medical system is failing.
But I’m not ready to give up on Canada. It has dramatically changed in the past 15 years, but it is in our hands as citizens to preserve Canadian culture and ensure prosperity for this and subsequent generations.
Below are points that I believe in strongly, but which seem to have gotten lost over the last decade and half.
Property rights are essential to a functioning and stable economy
Economic prosperity (GDP/Capita) leads to a better life for citizens by every metric
Children cannot consent to puberty blockers and sex-reassignment surgeries
There is no such thing as a trans child
Boys should not be allowed in girls safe spaces or sports
Providing drugs to addicts and allowing them to use in public is not care, it is prolonging the problem and causes further harm on the users as well as the public
Confiscating the guns of law abiding and licensed owners will not stop the crime dominating our cities, and is a slippery slope of government overreach
The government is meant to serve the people, not enslave them via debt, taxes and wasteful spending
No other nation is responsible for Canada’s prosperity, we need to stand up and demand accountability from our elected leaders, not another press conference
Unleashing Canada’s resources will lead to prosperity and a better life for Canadians
Reverse discrimination is just discrimination – true equality is merit based and no one is judged on their sex, race, or religious beliefs
Climate change based taxation and spending requires measurable goals and metrics, otherwise it is a scam to just tax you more
We cannot let Canadian culture slip away, but it is almost too late. We must stand-up and demand change. We must return to a merit based immigration system and reduce annual targets. We must unleash the natural resources Canada has been blessed with. We must reduce wasteful spending by government, reduce equalization payments between provinces, and reduce taxes on Canadians.
