The Lalique salt & pepper grinders are the cherry on top—I spent five years in my teens/early 20s working in the china & glass section of a pretty decent department store. I sold two Lalique perfume bottles in all that time.

Making it problematic to ask the sex of someone seems designed to undermine the Supreme Judgment.
This whole "asking" clause seems new and rather shoe-horned in.
Even extended to the age category, saying it might be unlawful to refuse service to anyone who looks under 18?

There is no law that prevents anyone either asking someone their sex, or pointing out they are in the wrong facility for their sex. It is not ‘special category data’. No data is being ‘processed’. Did they really think women would let this pass unnoticed?

The @EHRC code (section 13) says that
a service provider may ask a person’s sex and exclude them from a service or space for the other sex, and also that a person’s sex is special category data and that “it is unlikely to be either practical or appropriate to approach any particular individual to make enquiries about their sex in relation to facilities, such as toilets, which are incidental to the primary service.”
The first part is legally correct. The second part is just made up. It cannot stand.

We have written to Bridget Phillipson to say that it is ultra vires and irrational for the EHRC and the govt to have added the section on "asking about sex" which wrongly claims sex is likely to be "special category data" to the Equality Act guidance at the last minute.

The pot of money Peter Murrell pilfered from was NOT comprised solely of SNP members' money. It came from three chief sources.
(1) SNP members - subs, donations etc.
(2) UK taxpayers, the vast bulk of the SNP's income.
(3) Non-SNP donors to the "ringfenced indyref fund".
All of that money was swept into the SNP coffers, from whence Murrell trousered it. Every pound he took came in part from each of those sources. So in fact he robbed ALL of us, not just SNP members.
The fact that the party has spent the *entirety* of the "ringfenced" indyref fund, on stuff that is not a second indyref, is an entirely separate issue over and above Murrell's crimes.

This is the point that needs now loudly to be made.
Women were told, "use a lockable cubicle if you wish to avoid the blokes".
Now that men are once again required to use the men's, trans-claiming men should be told "use a lockable cubicle if you wish to avoid the blokes".
