Honestly been one of the harder parts of our #shopify app launch. Really hard to hear from folks in the time they test the app. We don't want to sell you anything! Just hear your thoughts. You can speak direct to us devs, or the management team. Whatever you like 😅

If you're thinking about running a membership program on @Shopify, we want to talk to you. You don't even have to use our app. Get in touch and tell us your dreams.

Turns out there must be some other sheannigans going on here, looks like it only works for production apps? All our local devs and staging don't show this behavior with same code (we'd thought we'd broken it in a PR 😅)

Oh, hey now. One of our team found this on their dev store (not on mine yet). Is this to finally solve the "back button" issue when going from embedded iframe app to shopify admin? Neat if so. When's full rollout?

@JordanFinners Yes, but it's almost "too hot" isn't it? (stop trying to take away our moaning about the weather! 🤣)

To give you an idea how excited the UK is for sunshine. It's 14C today, sunny and blue sky. Seats are packed outside bars, I've seen shorts, sunglasses and even flip flops 😂

I added the paid plan to Affilitrak yesterday and someone already subscribed!!! This is such a huge milestone for me, so much work went into it.

I’m gonna throw a company party and the theme will be “corporate” and there will be a water cooler in the center of everything

@matthewsmith Yuuuuuuuuup, that graph looks super familiar 🤣 okay, well glad it's not just us. We also found some outliers where our server responded in 350ms but then the frontend didn't trigger for another 1.6s. Surely that's just app bridge loading at that point given our bundle isn't huge

@nomisp_dev Yeah, that is why P75 is so annoying. There are some users you simply cannot optimize for b/c of shitty computers or connections. Here is my other app. With only 12 loads bad connectivity can really skew results.

Got LCP in check across all my apps. The secret? You will have to buy my $99 ebook. 🤣 Nah, just don't do anything on your main index thread. NOTHING. Async all the things. Database calls, file calls, and especially Shopify API calls.

@matthewsmith We also store this locally. We use a gql theme query during onboarding to live update when we ask them to add the block, but no good working out if they removed it after (especially if you're looking at bfs requirements), so shop sync query after that

Is there a way to see what app blocks are being used in the Shopify dev dashboard?

I can't remember who mentioned it, but we just moved over our i18n stack to lingui.dev - thank you kind internet stranger whoever you were!

@ianmisner At this point I'm too scared to click, and too afraid to ask 🙈

Surely we can't be the only ones suffering from this 🤔 or is everyone else replicating db's at the edge? Or do higher traffic numbers generally massage out the longer load times for these users to bring down LCP eventually?

So after our recent delve into LCP timings and improvements, we still saw spikes in TTFB. We finally looked more closely at that, and used BrowserStack's geolocation testing. Unless we move to db replication/multi region compute - there's no way to beat latency for Asia/AU: ~2s

We *REALLY* like talking to merchants. (It's actually in our blood, many of us were dedicated support in a previous life). If only more reached out! "This is like the 6th app I've tried and you've done the best at answering all of my questions."

@nomisp_dev Congrats! Progress = Progress, full stop. Also, if you can keep current velocity you will scale to over 4,000 in 3 months 🙃 - but just focus on the next one.
