There are 5623 BAYC and 12148 MAYC owners. If you exclude those who aren't active and the ones who don't do #apefollowsape, we should still have about 15000 people left. If my numbers are right, every X-Ape should have over 15000 followers. Drop your Ape below. @BoredApeYC

@0xSweep We love @PumpDotFunGuy. He may have done some dumb shit, spammed our timeline with engagement farms, but he’s never blamed anyone else nor has he grifted/scammed this space. People will hate on him while still promoting the people who helped ruin the image of web3.

This was probably the worst way to lose $150,000 ever In July 2022, an NFT whale called Franklin, the seventh largest Bored Ape holder at the time, registered an Ethereum Name Service domain called "stop-doing-fake-bids-its-honestly-lame-my-guy.eth" It was meant to be a meta joke about people creating useless ENS names just to bait a Twitter bot into tweeting fake high bids on them To pull the joke off, he placed a 100 ETH bid on his own domain from a second wallet, which was worth around $150,000 at the time and the bot ended up tweeting it Then a guy called 8892 placed a real bid of 1.89 ETH (~$2,800) on the domain Franklin accepted, went to Twitter to post "the most surprising 1.891 ETH I have ever made" and then completely forgot one detail His own 100 ETH bid was still active Fifteen minutes later, 8892 accepted that 100 ETH offer, instantly selling the domain back to Franklin for $150,000 and walking away with a clean 97.5 ETH profit Franklin tried sending the 1.89 ETH back as a goodwill gesture hoping the buyer would reverse it 8892 just tweeted "I ripped this guy off for 100 ETH and he just sent me another 1.9?" Franklin posted "Oh no, I lost 100 ETH. This will be the joke and bag fumble of the century. I deserve all of the jokes and criticism." A guy who owned 57 Bored Apes worth millions got rinsed because he couldn't remember to cancel his own joke

@unexplainables8 @SakeNigiriBBQ Sure LG / Saratoga counts but try to go into Boulder creek and tell them they are from the Bay Area and see what happens 😅 Once you cross that summit you leave the Bay Area IMO.

@nonfiction_ed I can sit here and see beeple is staying true to his stylistically. If your first time there, you came away with how excellently the experience of how the event came together.

I hold an element, and no penguins but love both IPs. That being said. Let’s say both become very successful and choose to reward their holders. Would you rather be a VIP to Club Penguin/clothing brand/children’s toy, or VIP to a TCG and anime.com. I think the upside to Azuki is far greater. Hope both will be successful and reward the people who made that success possible, but this was my logic when deciding to buy an element over a lil pudgy.

I’ve been pretty busy with a newborn at home, but I made time for a short trip to Node in Palo Alto. I came away with a lot of positive energy and have been thinking about it since. I do think most artists will almost always prefer a white cube gallery approach, and this is not that. But it became very clear to me that it offers something different. I understand the location much better now. The streets are packed with young people on Friday nights, and it brings in a huge amount of foot traffic. I have always believed in exposing more people to art, and one of the challenges with generative and new media art had been that the scene was more about trying to be a big fish in a small pond, than doing something more. In reality, this work deserves a much larger audience, and I agree that young Stanford University students and technology-savvy families are a pretty good one. Also the equipment is *top* of the line, and the whole team is deeply passionate. I met Phil for the first time, and he clearly loves what he does. I know Pace Gallery previously tried to do something in Palo Alto, but their model was not able to sustain it. This feels different. It did not feel like walking into a traditional gallery or museum where everything is austere. It felt warm. It felt like a seed, a gift from someone who genuinely cares about what is happening in this space. The other side of that, is that as a community we probably need to step up to help shape and support it since it's not a for profit institution. It got me thinking about what my ideal "Node" in New York would look like which was an interesting experiment. I don't know why I am sharing this, maybe because I am just now able to get some proper sleep and am excited to get back into things (multiple exhibitions upcoming this summer), but I do see a lot of doom and gloom lately and I wanted to say as someone who is pretty critical of almost everything, that there is something really nice going on here.

@basileus_eth @beeple I just went to the front where they sold merch and asked the staff nicely if I could have another drink ticket, they immediately gave me one. 🤷‍♂️ Bartenders were also pouring me like 10 oz of wine.
