In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police dismantles a cross-border drug & arms smuggling module, arrests 2 accused and recovers 4.108 kg heroin along with 4 sophisticated pistols and 5 live cartridges. Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused were in contact with #Pakistan-based smugglers through social media platforms and were receiving consignments of drugs and arms for further distribution in #Punjab. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act and Arms Act at PS Cantonment, #Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages of this network and to identify other associates involved. @PunjabPoliceInd remains firmly committed to a zero-tolerance policy against drugs, illegal arms, and organised crime.

In a major breakthrough, Kapurthala Police in a joint operation with central agencies, busts an Pakistan's ISI-backed #Espionage module, apprehends two accused from #Ferozepur, and recovers four mobile phones linked to foreign handlers, along with surveillance equipment installed near #Kapurthala. Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were in direct contact with #Pakistan-based handlers and had allegedly installed a CCTV device with SIM-based connectivity to transmit live footage of sensitive locations through mobile applications.
