Investing in women’s leadership is a priority for #SoutheastAsia. Fantastic to welcome an inspiring group of Vietnamese women to Canberra from the #Aus4Skills & @VietAusCentre Women in Leadership course to share experiences and insights.

Never would have thought Aussie gov’t criminalizes her own citizens for coming back to the country... from... India... How can this rule be justified in constitution and hunam rights in the down under?
9News Australia@9NewsAUS

For the first time in our history, it will be a criminal offence for some Australians to come home from overseas. Within the next 48 hours returning citizens will be threatened with five years jail if they've been in India in the past two weeks. @CUhlmann #COVID19 #9News

@RabeeTourky @pigeoninsky It is a +ve sign for Australia. Yet, there is a huge heterogeneity in testing across states! It is unknown if state gov'ts are sure that they have traced all possible sources of infection. I hope everyone should remain vigilant as winter is coming.

@StephanieLluis Thanks for sharing... is this a common definition of Gig economy worker - unincorporated self employed without employees?

From digging March PUMFs yesterday with reasons for absences by type of workers. Self-employed and Gig workers’ health hit hardest #cdnecon

@jvipondmd This is one of the better recommendations on face masks that I have seen. It is good that Health Canada admits the effectiveness of non-medical masks has not been proven. It should only be used in addition to other measures, which is not mentioned in ongoing campaign!

@Gray_Mackenzie Your question is whether you should have masks on and her answer is yes when you are sick. Either you have misreported her answer or she did not get your question.

I followed up and asked if you leave the house, should you have a mask on? Dr. Tam - "I think having an additional covering and a barrier to prevent you from spreading droplets to others, I think that is a reasonable thing to do" #cdnpoli #covid19

This afternoon I asked Dr. Tam if Canada was going to follow the CDC and recommend that Canadians wear a mask when they leave their home #covid19 Dr. Tam gave a lengthy answer and said masks do "act as an additional barrier" to stop asymptomatic people from spreading #covid19

@ntktruong @jvipondmd Fabric masks are highly effective. Latest nature paper shows basic masks block 100% of transmitted droplets and aerosol of coronavirus
