@arizman2 @mossadeghsghost @KenRoth America's overseas bases are not charity for foreigners. They serve US interests to project world power and dominance.

When Germany relies on the US expending vast sums of tax dollars to support US military bases in Germany, to protect Germany while Germany spends very little itself on its military, to protect itself from the Putin, and Trump asks Germany to assist in protecting the planet from the Ayatollah and the Germany says no, Should the Trump evaluate its position? or should the Trump make like Kisinger, bend over and shrug it off.

Germany has allowed Trump to launch attacks on Iran from bases inside Germany and let injured Americans be treated in a major American hospital on German soil, but thin-skinned Trump pulls 5,000 troops from Germany anyway over Merz’s criticism of his war. trib.al/VcxdbqM

@TRobinsonNewEra I'm convinced the entire purpose of the Ukraine war is to purge eastern Europe of white people and replace them with African migrants. And even if you try to escape the region they will find you...

A rejected "asylum seeker" who shoved a teenage girl to her death under a train in front of her horrified grandad has avoided jail! Liana K, 16, who fled Ukraine for safety, was pushed on the tracks in Germany by an invader who has dodged prison and instead been sent to psychiatric care! The youngster had been speaking with her grandad at Friedland station in August when Muhammed A, 31, from Iraq, forced her in front of a train.

@GKK239 @clashreport Not one American has died defending the rest of NATO. And those US bases in Europe are not charity either - they uphold America's global dominance and strategic interests. The days of Europeans spending hundreds of billions per year on US tech and defense are over thanks to Trump

I'm not sure about China, but as far as the US and Russia are concerned, Europe absolutely deserves this moment. For decades you’ve happily used American blood, treasure, and military umbrella through NATO while giving the US almost nothing in return when we needed real support. You hide behind our protection, then lecture us and stab us in the back the moment it’s politically convenient. Now you’re fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian, flooding your own continent with mass migration and covering for the Islamization of Europe, all while turning yourselves into active enemies of both the United States and Israel. Cowards and capitulators. When real leadership and loyalty were required, you chose weakness, betrayal, and short-term political correctness instead. Macron is right about one thing — this is a unique moment. Europeans should indeed “wake up”… and finally take a long, honest look in the mirror at what they’ve become.

Honestly, the reality probably is that, even with German participation in SAMP/T, the program would be in a somewhat similar place today. Europe's original sin was the systematic disregard of ballistic missile defense, while the United States made it a key priority from the 1990s onward. That alone pretty much explains the difference in capacity and capability we are seeing today. Let's say Germany was part of the program. The main difference would probably be that instead of Aster 30 interceptors being shipped back and forth several times between France and Italy before going to the customer, they would be shipped between three countries. The more I learn and see about European procurement, the more I am convinced that it just fundamentally doesn't work - the very occasional exception proving the rule. Instead of trying to make a dead horse walk, maybe European countries should just embrace the inefficiency of national and minilateral procurement and make the best of it.
VLS Enjoyer@VLS_Appreciator

The German systematic disregard for the SAMP/T-NG is more than frustrating. A mature, efficient European system with a shared missile across platforms seing a production ramp-up, but no not good enough.

@HarunobuKanemor @FRHoffmann1 There's nothing wrong with Patriot's performance vs Iranian and Russian missiles. The US had other problems dealing with Iran, but it was not a full symmetric war with US forces committed on the ground. They simply fired airstrikes at Iran for a month.

@FRHoffmann1 US ballistic missile defense didn't work. All that money spent, and it lost to Iran in three weeks. Imagine what it would do vs China. Europe dodged a bullet there. All we need is SAMP/T and ballistic missiles of our own to strike back.

@newspeaknews @Motor_Sport That's your own theory that the Ford was more drivable than the Renault, spoken like some know-it-all who drove both cars. James Hunt said it straight in live commentary that day - the Williams was "just as superior in the wet as in the dry".

@ntonaltntak @Motor_Sport If you don't understand how the Ford with it's more linear power delivery and lower torque is an advantage in the wet . . . I can't help you. I don't have time to explain set up fundamentals from the ground up.

@Motor_Sport It's Clark at Spa or Stewart at the 'Ring. No other serious candidates Senna's drive at Donington remains hugely overrated (even he thought so, TC and the best engine in the conditions). Barrichello was better that day. Senna's greatest Wet Weather driver was Estoril'85. Fact

According to the Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed administration officials, the White House is considering a plan to punish NATO countries who didn’t aid the U.S. and Israel in operations against Iran. The proposal includes moving U.S. forces out of NATO member states who failed to aid in operations against Iran. The plan is only in its early phases but has support amongst senior Trump administration officials, per the report.
