@sone_do_mujhe For a cisgender person, may be not that big of a deal. But,when it comes to non-binary and trans individuals ,gender is central to their struggle for self identity. So,misgendering may come across as ignorance of their lived experiences.

How sensitive are you guys to mis-gendering? I wont mind unless it becomes repetitive & irritating. Y shld a gender alone define my identity! I maybe speaking from the point of privilege but of all things that could be mistaken, mis-gendering shouldn't be that offensive..

#WATCH | West Bengal: Damodar River—once known for its industrial and cultural significance—has become a daily obstacle for thousands of villagers living between Asansol and Bankura. On one side of the river lies Burnpur, an important industrial hub falling under the Asansol Lok Sabha constituency. Across the river is Bankura, where many residents depend on Burnpur for trade, employment, and essential services. Despite the strong economic and social ties between these regions, there is no permanent bridge connecting them. Villagers are required to pay a fee to cross the temporary wooden bridge—Rs 5 for pedestrians, Rs 30 for motorcycles, and up to Rs 100 for cars.

"My birth is my fatal accident." Rohith Vemula’s last words still haunt an education system built on caste-exclusion. From the Rohith Act to UGC Protests, we trace how education is more than a policy issue. How it is a fight for liberation. youtu.be/sENguObBjcg?si…

You can’t claim to be a radical feminist while calling women whores. Whore is a word men invented to police and divide women. If your feminism relies on shaming women rather than dismantling the systems that exploit them, you’re just doing the patriarchy’s dirty work for free.
.@QueenBeeInd1

@myheadhurtsbrro I want to shame them though? Only Fan women ?? Ofc I want to shame them !! They willingly selling their bodies on platform where almost all subscribers are married men ?? They r promoting the culture where young girls think it’s cool to do that ?? It’s some pyramid scheme at work

Put yourself in Iranian shoes - if an Indian ship was torpedoed and 100 sailors left to die while returning from Iran and the state is neither seen collaborating on their rescue nor offering condolences, how angry would you be?

A medical report of a girl who was trafficked at the age of 16 from Diamond Harbour, West Bengal and to a brothel on Delhi’s GB Road. A year later, and after beatings in the brothel, she fell severely ill and was taken to a government hospital in Shahdara. After three months in hospital, she was reunited with her family. I was told that she had severe depression and was HIV-positive. Read Smita Sharma's photo essay that explores the lives of survivors of trafficking: caravanmagazine.in/gender-and-sex…

Iran is a fortress made out of mountains and deserts. Geography of Iran makes a ground invasion next to impossible. With the Zagros mountains running along the south and south-west border and the Elbrus mountains up north, land invasions become costly affairs. There are two major deserts, the Dasht-e-Kavir and Dasht-e-Lut which cover large parts of the interior of the country. Not just that, Iran doesn't have a primate city - a single city with large concentration of population, eg: Greater Tokyo which has about 40% of Japan's population. Which means there are no clear targets for enemies. However, with this geography also come problems, the biggest being the lack of access to water in the interior of the country. A problem which has played no small part in the recent protests across the country. From what I see, all this bombardment, sanctioning and everything else associated is just a means to pressure a regime which is already under stress. But I don't think it will give the Americans the results that they want. A core thing that I can't get out of my mind, Venezuela and Iran are connected. Both were supplying cheap oil to China. Maybe this is all linked to that rare-earths blockade by China in 2025. But maybe I'm overthinking this. Who knows what comes next with the Donald in charge of the largest armed force on the planet.
