@CraigMurrayOrg @Jaktare I have, and i know a lot of people use lithium batteries. They dont have EU "certification overhead", so they are cheaper than known brands, and work surprisingly well. I have 7kwh + 10kwh lithium (two investers) and except very hot+humid summer evenings - totally off-grid.

Lebanon no longer has a national grid, destroyed by war. It has the most expensive system possible - private companies run standalone generators on tankered diesel, powering streets or buildings. I paid 40% less for electricity in Beirut than I pay in energy rich Scotland.
