After another press release from AG Ken Paxton's office about arresting undocumented people, I asked his office in a January records request for all arrests his office has made under its 287(g) agreement with ICE. Today, the office told me that they are not arresting people. 🤨

Last week, Texas AG Ken Paxton announced that his office had arrested 35 undocumented people they turned over to ICE. So, I asked via an open records requests for arrest reports and any other relevant docs related to the apprehensions. The AG's office says there aren't any:

Lula reportedly will visit Trump in Washington this week. The two leaders’ interests converge on critical minerals (Brazil is #2 reserves, but lacks capital & expertise to exploit; US urgently needs to diversify supply ex-China) and organized crime (Lula looking to show tougher stance pre-election and also avoid FTO designation for Brazilian PCC gang) — but — no one I know understands the timing of this visit! Sudden and comes at odd moment in political cycle for both

@MackLatimerTX Also, those "profits" are a very small margin to invest in new equipment, maintenance of existing equipment, facilities renovations and expansions. A true non profit, with ZERO profits, would not be able to do any of that.
