The people who have been harmed by the mental health system are organizing. They are speaking. They are finding each other in online communities, in the comment sections of podcasts and publications where someone finally said out loud what they had been told was not real. The drug withdrawal that lasted three years. The sexual dysfunction that never resolved. The marriage that ended while the prescription was renewed. The child who was never the same after the medication began. These people were told they were outliers. Anecdotes. They were told the research did not support what they were experiencing in their own bodies. They did not stop speaking. And their numbers are too large now to dismiss. I have been labeled anti-psychiatry for standing with them. That label is a weapon. It is deployed deliberately by an institution that has no scientific defense for its practices and therefore attacks the character of anyone who names what those practices produce. I am not anti-psychiatry in the sense that label implies. I am pro-science. I am pro-safety. I am pro-informed consent. Psychiatry is none of these things. It has no biomarkers. No confirmed disease mechanisms. No objective diagnostic criteria. It has never demonstrated that its primary treatments produce better long-term outcomes than no treatment at all. It has suppressed the research that shows they produce worse ones. To call the people who name this anti-science is to invert reality so completely that it constitutes a form of gaslighting directed at an entire culture. AWAKEN

What do I mean? Essentially, if the Finance Minister has to get parliamentary approval to make a change of > 25%, MPs have a chance here to make even more wide-ranging changes to taxes applied to diesel, petrol & kerosene. That will be a rather lively debate, *if* it happens.

WE CALLED IT. We literally predicted this exact move on the timeline earlier today. This Ksh 10 drop is the 'Pressure Valve Strategy' in real time. They deliberately hiked it to 206 so that a 196 price tag would look like a favor. We are not celebrating a Ksh 10 discount on a Ksh 206 robbery. The Ksh 28/litre G-to-G cartel premium is still completely untouched in that 196 price. They are trying to buy our silence ahead of June for 10 bob. We will not clap for a thief just because he gave us back our pocket change. We see the board.
Sholla Ard 🇰🇪@sholard_mancity

Breaking: EPRA has reduced fuel prices by KSh 10. So prices drop to around KSh 196, but let’s be honest, that’s still painfully high. Meanwhile, diesel is still up by about KSh 30 overall. Are we really supposed to celebrate this? Tough times ahead.

Ndindi Nyoro has just exposed something interesting about the G-G fuel deal. The “G” on the Saudi side is government (Aramco is state-owned). But the “G” on Kenya’s side? Not government. Gulf Energy is a private company. If Kenyans ever dig into the ultimate beneficial owners behind it, many will be shocked. This story is far from over.

Something doesn’t add up tonight. VAT changes must go through Parliament under the VAT Act 2013. Any change beyond 25% of the tax rate can’t be applied first. It must be approved within about 15 days. Anything beyond that goes against the law.
Moe@moneyacademyKE

Breaking update on Fuel prices again: EPRA announces a slight drop in fuel prices after cutting VAT from 13% to 8%. New prices: — Petrol: Sh197 — Diesel: Sh196 — Kerosene: Sh152

@geraldbitok @JoeAsali So the truth finally comes out — the govt misled Ke on fuel pricing. This latest increase isn’t about global prices, it’s structured to benefit dealers while ordinary citizens carry the burden. Transparency matters. #FuelPrices #CostOfLiving
