Anyone know of data center protests that are demanding not just water, electricity, ownership data but what the servers are being used for?
Seems wholly reasonable for a community to want to know what industry they are actually bringing to their town.
Who are the clients using the centers and what do they need them for? Or if it’s vertically integrated, what uses on this server?

Here’s my solution to the strike 🪧
LIRR should accept and agree to all of the unions demands.
Then an automatic 25% fare increase should be enacted stating midnight.
The LIRR is funded by taxpayers, the union is not negotiating with a corporate entity.
Let the LIRR public slush fund continue, agree to the new contract and raise the fare, it’s not that complicated.

Just received an update from @MTA leadership on the status of @LIRR negotiations and plans for alternate service.
Long Islanders depend on the LIRR. The MTA remains ready to negotiate, and I continue to urge both sides to stay at the table and work around the clock toward a deal that ends this strike.

How is getting $8 billion from State coffers and $2.3 billion from deferring pension payments bringing a budget down to zero?
The same NYC taxpayers that pay the bulk of NYC taxes are paying the $8 billion of state taxes that are funding the budget gap.
This budget ‘fix’ is robbing Peter to pay Paul and it didn’t work out well for either of them.

This is the due process the administration is offering me, corrupt and unprecedented:

This story proves that the Trump administration's treatment of my case has always been corrupt and retaliatory. They put me through a sham immigration process while guaranteeing the outcome in advance.

According to a 2025 study in NYC, neighborhoods with violence interrupters saw a 21% greater reduction in shootings than comparable neighborhoods without them.
