So Attorney General Niki Sharma, Solicitor General Nina Krieger, and Health Minister Josie Osborne all dropped the ball here? Imagine my shock. These three stooges couldn’t fix a leak without starting a flood! One is responsible for the justice system that approved $500 bail. One is responsible for public safety when someone can walk into a NICU. One is responsible for hospital security where this even happened. British Columbians are living under FEAR. Small business owners, families and community leaders are all feeling threatened, intimidated and shaken down. And this government responds with press conferences, committees and round tables! We don’t need more TALK. We need ACTION. Target the criminal networks. Back law enforcement with real resources. Protect witnesses. JAIL the criminals. DEPORT those who are here abusing our system. Make it unmistakably clear that organized extortion will NOT be tolerated in British Columbia. We need stronger rules to make sure criminals extorting BC residents don’t use fake asylum claims to avoid getting deported. Senators need to reject calls to gut a federal bill that would do exactly that.

I don’t want a police officer fronting for the person responsible for our justice system. Niki Sharma IS THE Attorney General and Deputy Premier. The justice system answers to her, not the other way around. If she truly believes this is not a crisis, then Sharma should hold a press conference, look British Columbians IN THE EYE, and explain how bullets fired into homes, repeat extortion victims, and near-daily shootings is somehow NOT A CRISIS. So again, where is Niki Sharma?
