They’re doing the same thing to sports they did to music education. Many of the greatest musicians to ever live first touched an instrument at SCHOOL. That became an opportunity for the poor to move up socioeconomically. Especially Black kids. Same can be said for what And1 league was. Cities taking hoops out of neighborhoods, creating private schools to recruit from, etc. All of it is to control the opportunities for poor kids and kids of color to get educations or access to wealth. It’s that deep.

Spirit Airlines posts made me realize that they really opened more opportunities for Black flight attendants, while many other airlines are primarily white dominated…We need to really ask more questions about the hiring practices and representation cause its very telling…
