Mouth tape might stop your mouth breathing but it doesn't stop the root cause... Your bad oral posture. Low tongue placement = reduced airway Your tongue is critical to establishing proper oral posture and breathing habits. When you seal the tongue to the top of the mouth it opens airways, reaffirms proper jaw alignment, and maximizes your nasal breathing. This is why we created our mouthpieces with a front wall to eliminate mouth breathing and a tongue shelf that elevates the tongue into proper position to establish healthy posture and maximize your airway. Sure, you can just hold your tongue there and you should. BUT habits take time to replace. ESPECIALLY during hard workouts where you are focusing on technique, getting gassed, and etc ....not to mention sleep. Think of this as an accountability device and habit corrector. Get more out of your breathing during workouts and even your sleep.

First, the good part of the Anthropic ads: they are funny, and I laughed. But I wonder why Anthropic would go for something so clearly dishonest. Our most important principle for ads says that we won’t do exactly this; we would obviously never run ads in the way Anthropic depicts them. We are not stupid and we know our users would reject that. I guess it’s on brand for Anthropic doublespeak to use a deceptive ad to critique theoretical deceptive ads that aren’t real, but a Super Bowl ad is not where I would expect it. More importantly, we believe everyone deserves to use AI and are committed to free access, because we believe access creates agency. More Texans use ChatGPT for free than total people use Claude in the US, so we have a differently-shaped problem than they do. (If you want to pay for ChatGPT Plus or Pro, we don't show you ads.) Anthropic serves an expensive product to rich people. We are glad they do that and we are doing that too, but we also feel strongly that we need to bring AI to billions of people who can’t pay for subscriptions. Maybe even more importantly: Anthropic wants to control what people do with AI—they block companies they don't like from using their coding product (including us), they want to write the rules themselves for what people can and can't use AI for, and now they also want to tell other companies what their business models can be. We are committed to broad, democratic decision making in addition to access. We are also committed to building the most resilient ecosystem for advanced AI. We care a great deal about safe, broadly beneficial AGI, and we know the only way to get there is to work with the world to prepare. One authoritarian company won't get us there on their own, to say nothing of the other obvious risks. It is a dark path. As for our Super Bowl ad: it’s about builders, and how anyone can now build anything. We are enjoying watching so many people switch to Codex. There have now been 500,000 app downloads since launch on Monday, and we think builders are really going to love what’s coming in the next few weeks. I believe Codex is going to win. We will continue to work hard to make even more intelligence available for lower and lower prices to our users. This time belongs to the builders, not the people who want to control them.

The bleakest thing about screens is how they’ve destroyed the concept of pleasure. People don’t dance anymore. They don’t read. They don’t have hobbies. If Big Tech has its way, there will be no more writing fiction or making music. Everyone is entertained and no one is happy.
The Mind Scourge@TheMindScourge

The smartphone era has been an extinction level event for hobbies. So many pastimes have disappeared or are in the process of disappearing into the glowing event horizon of the screen

On my mission I started putting tape over my mouth to reduce mouth breathing and force nasal breathing when sleeping. It was life changing I was finally able to hit consistent REM sleep and I now have those nose strips to open your nostrils. I recommend everyone try it

If it’s too cold to walk or run outside, do this inside: 1. 100 squats 2. 20 pushups 3. Light stretching to open the nervous system 4. Wall sits 5. 1–2 minutes of nasal breathing Now you have no excuse.

Ice bath day 3 Iv raised the temp to 16°. There is no need to go to hard too soon we must look after our bodies. Just because the mind wants to do something doesnt mean we should hurt the body. Patience is key. I was able to work on my breathing today and stay in a full minute

I fixed my overbite - completely naturally in just 1 year. These bite pictures are from 19 to 20. No braces. No aligners. No expanders. No external devices. Just by using my tongue and my thumbs (let me explain) The reason you have an overbite is NOT because your upper jaw is too far forward... It's because your palate is too narrow. Which means your tongue doesn't have enough space to push on the palate. Which then means the maxilla can't develop forwards and upwards and your lower jaw can't shift forward. The solution? Expand the palate naturally. Here's how I did it: -neck training -back breathing -tongue chewing -thumbpulling 2.0 -releasing myofascia -aligning the sphenoid bone -fixing myofunctional habits -zygomatic lymphatic release -loosening the craniofacial sutures -proper mouth posture (even while asleep) -fixing anterior pelvic tilt and forward head posture May sound complicated - but super simple in practice. This works because I've done these EXACT things to transform.. And this is how thousands have transformed too, from ages 20 to 74. Your face is always fixable.

The solution to ALL your dental problems lies in simply correcting your tongue posture, supplementing 20,000IU Vitamin D w/ 150mcg K2 and using a miswaak stick. Dentists tend to overcomplicate things but this is literally all you need to do to obtain beautiful, white attractive teeth that captures and holds the attention of others And I don’t say that lightly.

Mouth breathing at night is a huge problem but tape just treats the symptom not the actual cause. That’s why we created the OptiO2+ nasal breathing trainer: the only device that actually fixes the root cause by restoring proper tongue posture and inhibiting mouth breathing (no tape, no skin irritation, just better breathing from day one to establish long term habits). The goal is to eventually need nothing tape or mouthpiece.

71% of adults breathe through their mouths. And they have no idea that they do it. And the worst part? This destroys: • Sleep. • Energy. • Brain function. Here's everything you need to know about mouth breathing (and how to stop doing it):

@KevinEspiritu Mouth tape is fine but doesn't really address why you mouth breath - your tongue and oral posture. @optio2labs nasal breathing trainer is designed to inhibit mouth breathing while promoting proper oral posture. Use it while doing cardio too.

Low tongue posture and narrow jaws. Same reason we need braces. What other mammals have crooked teeth? Our faces are becoming more crowded. Dogs will have crooked teeth now because of the softening of food and lack of developing their jaws also. Pretty wild. x.com/OptiO2Labs/sta…
