You get to pick one book to never have been written. Which one are you picking?

I have an analogy for why conservative investment in the arts and culture is so bad and how to fix it. Imagine you're a chef seeking capital to build a restaurant. No one asks to taste your food. They want spreadsheets and assume the quality of the food equals the quality of the spreadsheets. The problem is that anyone can use AI to generate business plans, costs, projections, and polished decks. This is just math, and AI excels at it. It has recently become a low-skill priority for conservative investors. Meanwhile, AI cannot cook the food, smell it, or taste it. That is the product customers buy. Art is usually done well by right-brained people who see unrealized value through gut instinct and take risks. Venture capital is run by left-brained math and finance nerds who see value only in past data. They are human calculators focused on lower risk and do not predict markets the way artists do. Both are equally important. A great chef hires a GM so he can focus on the product. But spreadsheet numbers will never differentiate your food. For startups, they are always made up anyway. Leftist investors always taste the food. What needs to happen in the conservative venture world is recognition of their left-brained weakness. Hire creative talent scouts who wander the streets, find the source of that incredible smell, recognize the talent, and work with artists to monetize their instinct. The studios used to call this talent incubation, and it built Hollywood as we know it. AI is really good at the left-brain stuff. It will never be able to determine whether food is good from taste and smell. It can't be reminded of grandma's casserole. But these are real-world value metrics—completely intangible on a spreadsheet. So we need venture funds with left-brain and right-brain teams working together to scout and invest in new creative ideas that can't be replicated by the most expensive venture software.

For the record, I think Lupita Nyong’o is incredibly beautiful. I mean she has a nearly perfect face. The issue is that Helen of Troy was Greek and described as fair and Musk is almost certainly correct that Nolan changed her race to fulfill the new diversity standards the Academy requires. And we should whine about that. It’s death to art.

Nobody gives more to charity than conservative Christians, why are they so bad at funding the arts? Either right wingers are all retarded or basically any and all "art" is secretly produced by government agencies

Hegseth: "These are men who think they are women?" Witness: "They are women; I’m happy to educate you" Hegseth: "We've identified there’s mental health issues with that belief system that are detrimental to readiness" One of the best videos on the internet

Telling people they can't use AI to complete an assignment or task is soon going to be seen as stupid as telling them they can't use Google.

Bob Saget was a notoriously vulgar comedian. His fatherly Full House role was often an area of conflict for him. While everyone tried to roast Bob Saget with equally vulgar jokes, Norm Macdonald roasted him with clean dad jokes. Very few comedians understood what was happening. Bob Saget got it. Other comedians got it. But the crowd didn't. You never heard that because the TV edit added laughter when there was very little, which took away from the hilarious nature of the awkward room. I'm thankful Comedy Central released this full clip without the fake laughter so we could hear the room and realize just how much of a genius Norm really was. x.com/ComedyCentral/…
