@TheMirzaBeig Looks great! Trying to replicate this and got a little confused by the implementation. Is this deferred? Specifically plugging in a float3 worldViewDir and worldNormal into a flat screen-space UV is the part I'm trying to wrap my head around. Would appreciate some pointers!

@j_bikker Very curious to hear the arguments. While realtime raytracing is definitely in a weird spot, I feel like the benefits of having the hardware available for other applications (light baking, offline rendering) are pretty hard to argue against

also! this was my first time using UITK properly and it's, really nice so far? maybe I had low expectations coming in but unity 100% succeeded tapping into the web dev brain, getting into that fast iteration workflow - all layouting and styling was done in one day!

I had to go to win32 hell and back to pull this off but it finally works!! my modeling tool now has a custom title bar! while still also supporting resizing, title bar dragging, and all those nice window features! this is nontrivial for some reason!!

Of course it's going to look great, there's no direct lighting lol. Cloudy days are one of the easiest ways to achieve photorealism, because those lighting conditions are ones where both raytracing and rasterized rendering excel. It's why you see so many "𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘎𝘛𝘈-𝘙𝘋𝘙 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦 RTX ReShade ultra realistic graphic mod burrito laundry basketball" with mostly the same thumbnails, either a rainy night or cloudy day.

@pharmst @FreyaHolmer Essentially, to me, self-hosting ghost just for emails would be a total overkill. And their hosted offerings feel too limited for the price and include a bunch of stuff I don't need or want (e.g. monetization).

@pharmst @FreyaHolmer Sure, you can do all that, but it is also not as straightforward for the user as what Freya is asking for. So you would probably want some custom UI for a streamlined experience. So u'd need to hand roll and customize anyways, just to have >10 newsletters.

hmm how do I resolve: 1. I want to write things that people can find, that doesn't get lost in social media history 2. people don't read self-hosted websites blogs (right?), unless I ping my mailing list, but then I'd feel bad for sending out updates for even minor posts

@FreyaHolmer The only one I personally used that did multiple "newsletters" allowing you to subscribe to different things was Ghost. But its really expensive, for 10 newsletters they ask for like $50/mo. I dropped them a year in because it just didn't feel worth it
