Wanna get it, because my M1 Max struggling to process anything that contains a lot of shadow and glass effects in @figma, it literally became a slide show experience. When I tried the same file on the m5 max at the apple store it works smooth and fast. So either figma is not optimized for old chips or m1 max is officially dead.

New MacBook Pro question. I'm considering a 16 inch M5 Pro Max > fully maxed out chip and RAM. Anyone have one? Or better going on lower spec? It's a massive price hike.

@tomjohndesign As a product designer who has moved from Photoshop/Illustrator > Sketch > Figma for UI design over the last 25 years, I plan to never use a design tool like Figma again for UI. Why would I when I can work direct in code now?

this is a bad take. use it with those other tools, but removing Figma altogether is a bad call
