We all have our lightbulb moments around NFTs. That moment where the idea of an NFT makes sense. And another moment where it makes more and more. And another. And another. Stumbling across Jenkins in 2021 was a lightbulb moment for me. Jenkins brought storytelling to the space, and became a stand out ape in the yacht club. One of the first characters on-chain. Over the last few years I’ve got to know the Tally team pretty well. A smart, creative, hard working bunch with a heap of resilience. We’ve watched them succeed, we’ve watched them fail, and we’ve watched them pivot. I’m proud to become the next owner of Jenkins the Valet, that damn mutant, and Goodboy. I have no firm plans, and my intention is to be a solid steward for these characters, and for their stories to continue through the swamp. For now, all I want to say is thank you. Thank you to the space, yacht club, the team at Tally, and to Jenkins. Let’s see where this journey takes us next.

@Zeneca Got two. No regrets. Would love to have a third, but don’t think it’s worth the sacrifice, especially when thinking about the two kids we have.

If you have kids: do you ever regret having them? If you don’t have kids: do you ever regret not having them? I assume I know what most of the responses are gonna be, but curious to see anyway

@TheSpeculator0 It’s an insurance scheme to avoid the risk of getting to an airport and not having money for food or drink.

I used to not understand the lounge thing because I barely flew. Now that I'm flying more I still don't get it. People get the expensive credit cards so they can get some replacement level free food whenever they have to spend a couple hours at an airport? That's it?

I just told @Gabrielesm1 my partner to extend the windows activation for @hvmtl2 until midnight tonight. I had a lot of people message me bummed out after he closed it up per the announcements but I don’t want anyone to be unhappy so he’s making this one exception. Gabe is pissed at me but won’t be the first time (or the last) 😂. Upgrade your HVMTL now !!!

Huge shoutout to @ClownArown for his Monday and Holiday Muses. There is a string of them below the attached. Consistent and always a positive take. Plus, we love seeing the @bubblegumkids_ interpretations across the many styles he generates. Worth a follow!

Holiday Muse Happy New Year’s Eve! We made it. The end of the yearlong endeavor. It was probably the most consistency I’ve had on a hobby in quite some time. That being said, I’ll be toning down the weekly posts. Wanna try some new things 😁 Have an amazing new year! 🥳

It's literally a dream come true to be able to announce this ... I have officially joined the ApeCo team to help build as many fun games and activations as I possibly can 💪 Anyone who knows me knows that I just want to build stuff. To continue doing so in a full-time capacity for the chain and coin I love is EVERYTHING. @apecoin on top 🦍

I bought my first mutant ape in the summer of 2023 and I was genuinely happy. As the market pulled back, I did not run. I bought my next mutants, upgraded to my first OG and then eventually acquired the @jenkinsthevalet full set. I did not get airdropped mutants or dogs. I bought those too. My entire entry into this ecosystem came at full cost with no early holder perks and no bull run to carry me. And here is the part we rarely acknowledge. There are more people with my story from 2023 until now than there are early minters who caught lightning in a bottle in 2021. The community today is built on holders who stepped in during the hardest chapter, not the easiest. That matters. OGs often talk about the old days and how the magic is gone. I get it. But most of us never had those old days. Our entire history has been a steady downfall while we kept showing up and holding onto hope. So ask yourself. Who has demonstrated stronger conviction. Who actually has more right to complain. Because the truth is new Gs stay while OGs leave. Think about that. So when an OG walks away, someone new steps in. Someone who did not get the wave up but still wants to be part of this club. That is who keeps the lights on. The journey down and how we endure it is just as important, maybe more important, than the journey up. If you leave, then good luck. But if you stay, then I ask the OGs who helped build the early culture to remember this and lead. Show us what that era felt like. Show us why it mattered. There are far more new Gs than old Gs now, and if the club is going to survive, it needs all of us, but it especially needs the people who wrote chapter one to help us write chapter two. NFTs live and die by community. That part has never changed. 🍌 @BoredApeYC

interesting thoughts. almost 42 here, some hit harder. - no one prepares you re: parents. i began noticing with my parents around 60. mental acuity at first. we worked with or for each other in some capacity. tasks would take much longer. soft skills decrease as their give a fuck. physical as well, when we play golf, i outdrive my dad by 50-70 yards playing back tees and him gold/white -talked to a friend who was pushed out of his job as cfo/foudner right after his sons lukemia diagnosis. - lost several friends and family members, seems to occur in the 18-30 range too often. personally, hardest part - i have felt a huge physical decline beginning at 37. the person i see in the mirror doesnt seem like its me. makes me confront mortality. but this part of life also offers alot of positives, so choosing to focus on those. good post.

I’d argue the age range of 35-45 is one of the most taxing mentally. - Your parents’ age begins to show - Friends groups splinters as some have kids, some don’t - Those that do are stressed by child rearing - Careers hit hiccups or strides - People you know die unexpectedly due to health issues - Friends develop substance or drinking issues I’ve noticed a general frustration in many people in this age range. They describe a pressure and overwhelming sense that things feel off or just harder. It’s not to say all of this will happen to someone in that era, but it’s when these things tend to play out.
