We are currently conducting an inspection at Kwa Mai Mai alongside the MMC for Economic Development, the JPC team, and JMPD. Upon arrival, several issues of non-compliance were identified, including illegal parking and the erection of unlawful housing structures on the property. JMPD is in the process of impounding vehicles that are parked illegally, and notices will be issued for the demolition of the unlawful structures. #JMPD TRU officers were patrolling along Nugget Street towards Hillbrow when a Toyota Legend 50 approached from the opposite direction & nearly collided with the patrol vehicle. The officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver sped off leading to a high-speed chase. During the pursuit, suspects jumped out of the moving vehicle & pointed firearms at the officers. Along the corners of Melrose & Delvers Streets, the suspects fled on foot. A foot chase ensued during which the suspects opened fire on the officers. The officers returned fire & one suspect was successfully apprehended. Upon questioning the suspect confirmed that they had just committed a house robbery & had also hijacked a vehicle. The firearm used to shoot at officers was linked to a Sandton SAPS case of theft & the suspects’ vehicle was also positively linked to a Randburg SAPS case (taken during a house robbery). All items found inside the suspect's vehicle are suspected to be stolen property from a house robbery. 3x additional firearms were recovered from the suspect's vehicle & booked in at JHB Central SAPS. The suspect was arrested for pointing a firearm, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, possession of a stolen motor vehicle & possession of suspected stolen property. You know this issue of illegal immigrants and foreigners taking over this country is really a lot for someone to deal with…EVERYDAY it’s something new💔 This morning I’m dealing with yet another issue of Somalians and Ethiopians terrorising South Africans who want to open Spaza Shops and another heartbreaking one is from Doctors who are South African who have been told not to come back to work by a Nigerian Manager and only the foreign Doctors remain behind… Sometimes I don’t even know where to start because our government just doesn’t care, the media doesn’t care, society has these stuck up ppl who will tell you about vigilantes but never label the foreigners with any titles except to make them victims and I’m sure documenting everyone will solve all of these problems right??
