@FoMaHun @Anyextee I suspect all those scarab medallions were used to pick up phosphorescent poop, like a scarab beetle would, and used as flashlights.

The famous so-called Dendera “light bulb.” 💡 See my next tweet for a full breakdown. Spoiler: it’s not a light bulb.

@p_bruce73752 Hungary could have been supplied from Austria, from which all foreign troops had been withdrawn by 1955. Until the withdrawal, the Soviet zone in Austria had barred Western access to Hungary. Eisenhower chose not to work a finagle with Austria to transfer arms on the sly.

I'm reading some romance novels. I can't believe how trashy this stuff is. Women will just hoover up this low quality slop, amazing.

@tonywendice1954 I don't like to play the "which is best" game. But I think they're both outstanding WW2 movies -- while being incredibly different from each other.

Unpopular take: Tora! Tora! Tora! is a better movie -- or at least a movie I like more -- than Patton. Both 1970 releases. I have never really warmed to Patton which is why I'm saving it for near the end of my WW2 watching. I'm hoping it will finally "click" for me.

@MuseZack Tanya Roberts went topless in THE BEASTMASTER (1982) and full-frontal in SHEENA (1984), and both of those were PG somehow.

Entertainingly, one of the more comprehensive maps of the many very expansive, Iron Age-level empires in historical Africa comes to us from the HARRRD right...which is focused on exactly what commodity funded that growth.
Jared Taylor@RealJarTaylor

African slave empires in the 19th century. A map you won't see in your history book. Blacks had been selling blacks to Arabs ever since the 7th century, when Muslims conquered North Africa. @BonneDroite

Well if you believe in the evolutionary process then octopus didn't need to evolve anymore to survive. Probably human intelligence came from constantly moving into new territories which required new solutions to survive. Of course, why did early humanoids do this? Maybe climate or other disruptions forced it

When I want to lose weight, I lost weight. When I want to gain weight, I gain weight. It is for this reason I can never take glp-1s. You're telling me it works by reducing want, as opposed of by wanting? You think I WOULD GIVE UP ANY WANTING?

@vbspurs One year a co-worker gave me a quart of homemade apple jack as a Christmas gift. It was delicious and packed a punch.

@GumSlinger @TANJ_User @redsteeze The opening episode of Dukes of Hazzard was awesome, and the rest of the show was filler. The first episode everyone in the show was smart and doing sensible things given their choices. Then. . . Jackass?

Biggest music "what if" opinion. I'll go - Ian Curtis doesn't die and every song is still what New Order did. He's just the vocalist instead of Bernard for all of New Order's songs and it's still Joy Division. I've already been monetized, calm down, this is pure weekend curiosity slop.

@dsforbesm1 Cheeseburger pizza is great, especially when you see it next to sausage pizza- basically sharp hard slices of maybe used-to-be sausage slathered in annoying spices.
