Prince Estifanos Matewos, President of the United Africa Royal Assembly, welcomed the historic reunion between King Misuzulu kaZwelithini of the Zulu Nation and King Bulelani Lobengula Khumalo of the Ndebele Kingdom, marking the restoration of ancestral ties over 200 years after the split between King Shaka and King Mzilikazi kaMashobane, which led to the Ndebele migration and establishment in Bulawayo. He highlighted that this initiative aligns with the Assembly’s vision of uniting historically connected nations and promoting cultural awareness, recalling earlier efforts facilitated by His Grace Comforter T.S. Modise, the patronage of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, and the continental initiatives championed by Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. Prince Estifanos emphasized that traditional leadership remains essential in guiding communities, fostering reconciliation, and advancing the @_AfricanUnion Agenda 2063, demonstrating that African unity begins with reclaiming shared heritage and educating communities about their history.

English

@TateMavetera Honorable, please fight for the Zimbabwe Gender Commission
English

I had the distinct honour of being the Guest of Honour at the Women in ICT Conference 2026, hosted by the Computer Society of Zimbabwe in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
It was a full circle moment for me standing as the first female Minister of ICTPCS for Zimbabwe and looking out at a room filled with young women coders, engineers, and cybersecurity experts.
We are witnessing a paradigm shift. More women than ever are enrolling in ICT courses, breaking stereotypes, and stepping into boardrooms and labs.
I must extend my sincere gratitude to our partners:
The Computer Society of Zimbabwe, for their incredible mentorship programs that are bridging the gap between the classroom and the industry.
His Excellency, the Ambassador of Canada, H.E A. Aristilde for their generous sponsorship and for standing with us in our mission to empower women through technology. Canada’s commitment to gender equality resonates deeply with our own vision.
Furthermore, I am incredibly proud of the progress of the "She Tech" Initiative, under the distinguished patronage of Her Excellency the First Lady Dr A.Mnangagwa. Through this program, young girls and women across our provinces are receiving scholarships to study ICT not just to participate in the digital economy, but to lead it.
To every woman reading this the tech sector has a place for you. We are building a Digital Zimbabwe where your voice matters.

@TateMavetera ALL TALK ya’l Zanu Pf clowns are messing our country badly

The concept of war has been redefined by the outer space domain. As Minister of ICTPCS I observe the growing global discourse on the militarisation and congestion of space not as distant geopolitics, but as a factor that directly influences Zimbabwe’s digital economy and development trajectory.
In the 21st century, space based infrastructure quietly powers our daily economic activity. Every mobile money transaction, digital bank transfer and POS payment depends on precise satellite timing and reliable connectivity. Digital Platforms are underpinned by digital systems that synchronise through global satellite networks.
Our mobile broadband services, cloud platforms, disaster early warning systems, and GPS enabled agricultural logistics all rely, in part, on assets orbiting above us. Telehealth consultations in rural communities, e-learning platforms for our youth, and e-Government services delivered to citizens are sustained by a blend of satellite capacity and terrestrial fibre infrastructure.
As Zimbabwe accelerates towards a fully fledged digital economy, our dependence on uninterrupted connectivity deepens. Any disruption in space, whether from signal interference, cyber intrusion targeting ground infrastructure, or congestion in orbital pathways, would not merely be a security concern. It would be an economic one.
In an era where space is increasingly congested, contested, and competitive, Zimbabwe’s priority must be of economic resilience.
Our national vision under Zimbabwe’s development agenda is clear: to build a robust, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital economy. To achieve this, we are focusing on three core pillars:
1. Infrastructure Redundancy and Diversification.
2. Cyber Resilience for Economic Continuity.
3. International Engagement for Equitable Access.
Zimbabwe cannot remain a passive consumer of technology but must invest in local innovation, encourage research in satellite communications and space related ICT applications, and build the technical skills that allow our youth to participate in emerging global value chains.
Space security and ICT development are no longer parallel conversations but interlinked drivers of economic transformation.
I call upon academia, the private sector, technology innovators, and our development partners to deepen this dialogue.
•How do we future proof Zimbabwe’s digital economy in an era where critical infrastructure extends beyond our atmosphere?
•How do we strengthen redundancy, innovation, and skills to ensure uninterrupted growth?
The orbit above us is becoming more complex. Our response must be strategic, collaborative and forward looking.
Zimbabwe’s digital transformation is not optional. It is the foundation of our economic competitiveness in the 21st century, and we must protect and strengthen it accordingly.

@bla_bidza @TateMavetera Bla B is it Ministry that should own infrastructure or ana Econet infrastructure, ana Powertel , Dandemutande , Netone etc should be figuring it out and investing in infrastructure for their clients ?
English

Murikutiiko nhai vahanzvadzi? Just ask for more budget to dig out trenches for fixed broadband. Zve Starlink izvi hazvina kwazvinosvika. Manje manje technology inenge yodonhedza tuma low-orbit satellites se shiri. Your ministry must go back to basics and prioritise fixed broadband infrastructure that all developed nations are dependent on. Moving around, donating Starlink boxes is not an ICT policy.

@Sinyoro1110 @TateMavetera Gvt. is going towards deregulation or limited regulation of alternative energy. There are a lot of incentives that have been put up by Minister July Moyo towards promoting Independent Power Players. I think Government has opened the space pindai Sinyoro moitawo ka 10MW project
English

@TateMavetera How do you robustly invest in local innovation, space etc without electricity ? Please tell your peers to sort themselves out first otherwise these essays are useless other than pointing that you are alive in the ministry. End
English

@nitrozane @TateMavetera Minister put her thoughts here and she opened a topic for discussion she doesn't claim to know it all she is inviting people to discuss and that is the most noble thing that can be done by a minister
English

@TateMavetera Stay away from using AI if you don't understand the subject.
You mixed up so many different topics and really made yourself look clueless
Can't be worth your reputation

@Chaguta7610 @TateMavetera We need to talk it out before acting because at this level touch is a move. It's better to talk it and think it through before making a wrong move

The divorce case between Local Government Minister Ignatius Chombo and his estranged wife Marian has moved to the High Court after the two failed to agree on how to share an extensive matrimonial estate.
Mrs Chombo is claiming a 50 percent share of assets acquired during the marriage, a demand that has stunned observers because of the sheer scale and spread of the properties involved.
Mrs Chombo is claiming the following:
- 15 family vehicles, including Toyota Land Cruisers, Mercedes-Benzes, buses, trucks and double cabs
- 2 Glen View houses
- 2 flats in Queensdale
- Property in Katanga Township
- Stand No. 1037 Mount Pleasant Heights
- Business stands in Norton (4), Chinhoyi (3), Banket (4) and Epworth (1)
- Residential and commercial stands in Chirundu (2), Kariba (4), Ruwa (1), Mutare (2), Binga (2) and Victoria Falls (4)
- Zvimba Rural stand
- Chitungwiza (2 residential and 2 commercial stands)
- Beitbridge (4 stands)
- 20 stands in Crow Hill, Borrowdale
- 10 stands in Glen Lorne
- Flats at Eastview Gardens (B319 & B320)
- Flat at San Sebastian Flats, Avenues
- Houses in Greendale, Avondale, Milton Park, Mount Pleasant, Alexandra Park, Chegutu, Norton, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls
- Stand along Simon Mazorodze Road
- Stands in Avondale, Beverly House, Bulawayo and Mica Point, Kariba
- Farming equipment at New Allan Grange Farm, including tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers and engines
- Shares in 10 family companies
- Cattle, trucks, trailers, pigsties, chicken runs, a shop and a grinding mill
- Mining interests, safari lodges and properties in South Africa
The minister is contesting both the scale of the claims and the US$2 000 monthly maintenance demand.
The High Court will now decide how — or if — the vast estate will be divided.

In case anyone was wondering, this was the real motive behind today’s press conference.
Mayor Mamdani promised a laundry list of “free” giveaways to buy votes, with no plan to pay for them. Now that the math doesn’t work, instead of owning the fact that he misled New Yorkers, he’s blaming me.
Let’s be clear: I left him over $8 BILLION in reserves.
This is the same Mamdani who spent years attacking me for not spending enough during the migrant crisis.
The only reason those reserves exist is because I ignored him and his socialist comrades who demanded we blow billions more with no guardrails.
“Free” isn’t free. It’s just a bill someone else has to pay.
