I realize his off-field has caused some concerns, but Diego Pavia deserved better than a minicamp tryout with the Ravens. He did lead the Vanderbilt Commodores to a 6-2 SEC record, did beat Bama the season before, did scare Texas twice.

No, Diego Pavia isn't a disaster—he had a standout career at Vanderbilt as a tough, mobile dual-threat QB, racking up big production and finishing as a Heisman finalist/runner-up. He went undrafted because scouts saw him as undersized (~5'10", 207 lbs) with average arm talent, not the elite prototype NFL teams want at QB. His success leaned on college-style improvisation and grit rather than pocket-passing traits. He'll likely sign as a UDFA and compete in camp.
