I've used it before though with control and If they're not aware I direct them to the website and explain it's use. I would say it's about a 50/50 awareness at the moment but definitely going up.

Last night we were called to assist @hmcgsouthend @EssexPoliceUK and Rescue Helicopter 163 in the rescue of two people in trouble on the Essex coast. Using our Polaris ATV and the what3words app we were able to quickly locate and extricate the casualties. #JESIP #WeAreEEAST
