When an alternative to Gillette Stadium was being sought for this year's Champ Weekend, I was told one of the factors that favored Scott Stadium over Rentschler Field was the players' review of the playing surface in ’21 & ’22.
Ironic given the footing at Hofstra right now.

Taking a second to check out these new cascade helmets. Obviously the comment section tends to be overtly negative, but I don't get it. The helmets seem cool and fine? I don't really know the equipment game well though; I still occasionally rock a 20+ year old helmet when I play.

@porterstansb I wasn’t born there & haven’t lived there in 20 years but Baltimore is my city. What needs to be done starts long before these kids get arrested. When there are 350k arrests in the black community these kids are exposed to more crime and desensitized to it.

There are 350k black people in Baltimore — 60% of the population. In the ten years between 2010-2020, there were more than 350k arrests in the city. And 90% of those arrested were black. Most were male. Many were arrested multiple times. Using this data and other national crime stats, Grok estimates that 87% of black men in Baltimore have been arrested at least once.
My conclusion: either the Baltimore PD is the most racist institution in America, or there is a group of people who’s behavior is completely unacceptable in a civilized society.
Baltimore PD is 40% black.
Sincere question: how do we solve this? I would like our city back.

My three years doing mornings in WMRQ with Dee Snider Radio are some of my favorite. We built a rabid audience, but unfortunately I had a falling out with management. Oh well....

@deesnider My old man was a cop, he passed away last week. At his wake, so many other cops kids said how he would catch them breaking the law. He’d smack them on the side of the head and say he was gonna tell their father what happened but never did.

My dad was a state trooper. He used to have his cop friends come to where I worked, plant drugs on me, arrest me and drag me out in cuffs...so he could talk to me!! He thought it was hysterical. Me...not so much.

@deesnider I hear ya… I grew up in metro Detroit, and my dad was State police K9, then later promoted to homeland security bomb squad… couldn’t get away with much as a kid, but I look at him like Superman now as an adult. CHEERS!
