We are learning that the Liberal government, now holding the slimmest of majorities in the House of Commons, intends to assert control over all parliamentary committees—over votes, witness selection, points of order, agendas, and more. Committee work is among the most important responsibilities of Parliamentarians, full stop. It is where legislation is thoroughly examined to ensure that decisions made by government serve the best interests of all Canadians. While the Liberals are entitled to seek greater control, what I witnessed firsthand in Ottawa last week was troubling: a tone of arrogance, along with the mistreatment of some witnesses who expressed views not aligned with the party in power. This is what is unfolding, and Canadians should be aware. Parliament will look very different over the next three years—even with only a razor-thin majority.

🚨ATTENTION🚨 I'm seeking investors for my new space exploration company in Nova Scotia. I've a few local Libs lined up for the Board. I've found the property. It already has a concrete slab. It's in D'Entremont's riding, so govt funds are guaranteed. Limited time opportunity!

How is this even possible, it’s a complete failure of judgment. The idea that Chinese police are being described as a “partner” on par with the FBI is outrageous on its own. But being told that Canadians can’t even see the details of that arrangement without Beijing’s permission? That’s not partnership. That’s submission to a foreign authoritarian regime. We’re talking about a government that has been repeatedly accused of interference, intimidation, and operating illegal police stations on Canadian soil and somehow they now get a say in what Canadians are allowed to know about their relationship with our own national police. Who is actually in control here? This isn’t just a transparency issue, it’s a sovereignty issue. Canadians are being kept in the dark while a hostile regime is treated like a trusted ally. Completely Unacceptable.

Chinese police are a law enforcement “partner” just like the FBI, say @rcmpgrcpolice. Details of partnership agreement with Beijing cannot be disclosed “without their permission,” says Deputy Commissioner Brian Larkin. blacklocks.ca/calls-china-po… @SenateCA @gignacclement #cdnpoli

This is the most laughable statement I've heard in awhile. One cannot argue that a savings program is costing the government billions in lost revenue while at the same time saying that it's not proven to increase savings. The thesis disproves itself.

For the record. Canada’s relationship with the U.S. is not a weakness; it is a strength. Janice Charette, Canada’s Chief Trade Negotiator to the United States, joined Candace Laing, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, for a focused fireside chat at the Future of Business Summit in Ottawa. Their discussion zeroed in on the upcoming CUSMA review and the future of Canada–U.S. trade. Amid rising noise about the risks of relying on the United States, they offered a clear rebuttal. Friction points and hard bargaining are normal between major trading partners; they are not evidence that the relationship is broken. But to be clear, Canada’s relationship with the U.S. is not a weakness; it is a strength, a core strategic asset that is deep, resilient, and mutually beneficial, not a liability to be hedged away. Charette underscored a central reality: the world has changed, and so must Canada. The country must adapt to a tougher “America First” environment, including a more contested CUSMA landscape and sharper U.S. demands on market access. That means modernizing policy, sharpening its value proposition, embracing its natural resource strengths, and negotiating from a position of quiet confidence rather than defensiveness. As U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has put it in another context, the objective is to de‑risk, not decouple, a principle that should guide Canada as it updates and de‑risks its economic strategy within a North American framework that remains the primary engine of its growth, investment, and stability. cpac.ca/headline-polit…

Here's the reality. If Ontario was a country, it would have about the 20th largest economy in the world. It's comparable to Switzerland, Poland, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia. Really. Private jets offer quick transit without fixed times. They are more expensive, but if you're crisscrossing the country and the United States trying to expand the economy, they make sense. Buying a private jet was poor optics, but it was also always good business. @fordnation

No longer a mistake. Premier Doug Ford says he's now getting calls from the public to "keep the damn plane" as he stresses that he's only apologizing for the failure to communicate the decision properly. #onpoli
