2023 has been nothing short of amazing for me and my SaaS I would have NEVER bet that I could come so close to 30k€ MRR But the most amazing part isn't the MRR itself 👇

@levelsio Why would you generalize 1 picture to the whole of Europe ? Also you coukd build small opening to the south and keeping large windows to the north

🇪🇺 The new trend in Europe now is building new houses with tiny windows, so that they stay cool and don't need to install or use AC to cool them "Less sunlight = less heat = less cooling = less energy use" is their thinking But there's a reason people buy modern design villas that are floor to ceiling glass (I did) You want as much sunlight as possible coming in for your health, because your circadian rhythm depends on it, improving your sleep quality so you produce melatonin at the right time and fall asleep easily and stay asleep all night Sunlight also affects your mood of course, it heavily boosts serotonin and decreases symptoms of depression Having wide views of the sky, nature or ocean also have a measurable effect on lowering your stress So Europe is now building houses with tiny windows all so they don't need to install AC, while the new home owner inside will slowly become miserable, stressed, depressed, start sleeping bad and as a second order effects of that become sick (but of course then you can sell them pills) The conclusion is the same I had during the ongoing heatwave in Europe where tens of thousands of people are still dying every month because they're not allowed to install AC: Europe now cares more about energy use than people's lives Degrowth is a completely delusional cult affecting all of Europeans lives now!

These are hideous. You know, if we had cheaper energy we could add more and larger windows…

So I dont know @thekitze and @robj3d3 and dont know their situation well enough to give advice. But what is really helping me stay sane in the most stressful period of my life is just taking a backpack, filling it with heavy weights and walking in nature for 2-3 hours.
kitze the 🐐@thekitze

same, spent yesterday in the ER and it was scary. they did CT on my head and a bunch of tests just to rule out a possible stroke luckily the conclusion is stress and lack of sleep and shit nutrition I’m an idiot

Me: How long will this project take. Claude: About 12-18 months. Me: But you're an AI Claude: Ah yes if you leverage AI Coding then the estimate would be 6-9 months. Me: But you're an AI Claude: Even with AI, there are many aspect of coding that take time. AI can only do much to accelerate coding but it is not a magic tool. Now that we have a realistic estimate, would you like to get started? Me: Yes *3 hours later* Claude: Ok I'm done.

IMO the worth thing is that I can't work at home anymore, it's too hot BUT I can't rent a place with AC as a business expense lol 🤦🏻 There are no AC in stock anywhere, my building's homeowners association is still forbidding true AC... France, 🖕🏻 I'm seriously considering moving abroad

Benefits of drinking: -hilarious situational laughs that add years to your life -being 7 beers deep in the Sun with your friends realizing you almost forgot the point of life is to have fun with people who make you happy -3 bottles of wine with your wife then smashing all night without a condom (lasting 975% longer) -heartwarming couples dinners hugging goodnight thinking ‘I’m so glad we did this’ -concerts with your girlfriend and friends making lifelong memories favorite songs slapping mythologically -backyard party watching your girlfriend hit it off with your Aunt while your friends and Uncles plan a road trip to a Big 10 football game “Hanging By A Moment” by Lifehouse jamming in the background wanting to freeze time and live this day every day the rest of your life realizing ‘wow life is a miracle I’m so lucky to be alive’
