@Rouzeeafc @AdamMossoff Literally just listened to that podcast and you terribly mischaracterized what she said. Dishonest and shameful

The NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, BBC, CBS 60 Minutes, etc. all make it sound like the war against the Islamic regime of Iran is floundering, at best, or is a failure, at worst. This is so wrong that I'm gobsmacked that the media has misled so many people.
Here's the facts: As of this morning, U.S. and Israel have completely decapitated the Islamic regime (see image below). Its navy sits on the bottom of the sea with over a 100 ships sunk. It is no longer able to fire more than 1-2 ballistic missiles per day, and soon it will be zero. The Basijii thugs who slaughtered 1000s of innocent Iranians two months ago are themselves being wiped out and are running away at the faintest sound of a drone (these are hilarious videos). Islamic regime foreign diplomats are requesting asylum in mutiple countries. There are reports of regime troops refusing to show up for duty in Iran. The war is succeeding in the goals of its phases. It will ultimately remove the greatest source of global terrorism and an imminent nuclear threat to all Western countries, including the U.S. and Israel.
What comes next? Hopefully something better. The future is never 100% certain. But the Allies had no idea in WW2 what would come next after the surrender of the Nazis and Imperial Japan, and today these countries are some of the closest allies of the U.S. There are significant signs from the Shah and Iranians themselves that they could do the same. Let us hope, but whatever happens, the elimination of the 47-year holy war against the West is a good thing. And just about anything is better than a nuclear-armed religious regime that explicitly seeks an apocalypse with the U.S. and Israel.

@JeffDelp We biked through downtown and there was a huuuuge cheerleading event at the World Congress Center, area was about as crowded as I can ever recall

@JonnyBird @HowEPhil @thomaswheatley @davidcummings Thanks for sharing this! Great article by the always great Thomas Wheatley
English

I read this article every few months from @thomaswheatley from 2011.
It reminds me:
1) The power of how one post on the internet can inspire, even 15 years later. Great journalism is timeless.
2) @davidcummings and our talented team, at the end of the day, are stewards of our city's urban core, dedicating our lives, time, and treasure to shine the unpolished jewel that is South Downtown.
3) We are a small part of a long, cherished history around Atlanta's founding neighborhood. As Thomas eloquently writes: South Downtown must be fixed for Atlanta to thrive.
Officially two years in since taking over the Newport properties, I still pinch myself at this once-in-a-city's-lifetime opportunity to revivify 10 city blocks, 16 acres, 50+ historic buildings that kiss Atlanta's "Grand Central Station" (5 Points - now under construction).
The table has been set in 2025. We had 11 courageous restauranteurs commit the future of their craft and enterprise to our neighborhood. Now each opening will be it's own course served for our neighborhood, our downtown, and our region in the months ahead.
Include 30 apartments currently on schedule to open up in buildings constructed in the 1800's and the groundswell grows along the dozens of businesess growing and hiring in the @ATLTechVillage-Sylvan.
We must execute on delivering the restaurants not just for the World Cup, 161 days from now, but more importantly for Atlantans 161 years from now.
A city is only as good as it's downtown, and we will need an all hand's on deck year, beyond the WC, to generate the momentum for generations ahead to enjoy.

@billybinion @CathyYoung63 I’m sure she’d have said the same thing if not was Hunter Biden

@Kidz2feed @atrupar Right. Somehow he never comments on the aesthetics of fossil fuel infrastructure

@atrupar Wind in Aberdeen, Scotland where there has been a large wind farm built off the coast of Trump's golf courses averages 10-15mph and can provide energy for 80,000 residences. Trump thinks the wind farm view is atrocious and THIS is where his hate of wind power stems from.

@UrbanizeATL @JoshGreen1234 This is great. I ride on this everyday to work. Will say some afternoons google maps routs tons of cars on this stretch of Jackson, it’s funny you can tell when the app decides this is ‘best’ route it gets so crowded

@WilliamsLaurenL @KLChouinard They should just get rid of back to backs. Is ridiculous. Extend the season or remove some games. Sucks for fans. Why would I buy tickets to games when such risk the players o want to see are in street clothes?
English

As @KLChouinard mentioned already, Mo Gueye, who has been assigned to the Skyhawks for the last few weeks, will likely be among those transferred the Hawks as well.
Lauren L. Williams@WilliamsLaurenL
The Hawks will likely transfer Skyhawks guard Keaton Wallace and Daeqwon Plowden to add some reinforcements. They never sent Dominick Barlow to College Park following last night's game and he traveled with the team to Chicago.

@Logically_JC @win14144 Black swan events driving things; end of USSR, 9-11, housing crash/financial crisis and COVID. All accompanied by rise of internet, social media and hyper partisan media

@TheReidATL Those are great but all I really want from MARTA is for the green train to run all the way to Avondale station or further! I know it’s coming that will be a good day

@Grant_Shirley4 Totally. I saw Clingan pulled down 20 boards in like 22 minutes last night. Unreal
