Bongino was USSS Special Agent in NYC from 1999 to 2002 before protecting George Bush. So during 9/11 he was in NYC. A special agent is an official title used to refer to certain investigators or detectives of federal, military, tribal, or state agencies who primarily serve in criminal investigatory positions.
